Great video. Unlike many other KZfaq videos, I was looking for something like this that wasn't so daunting. Your voice tone and presentation skills were pleasant to watch and kept my attention. Thank you!

Very good video. I had tried Anki before, but gave up for not knowing how it really worked. Your video showed me it's indeed a great app. Thank you so much !

Thank you so much! I have heard the word, "Anki," but was not aware that it is exactly what I have been wanting to find, and evern better, it's free! I know I sound naive, but I'm an old timer who has studied 3 different languages in the past. ALL THE HARD WAY! I only found out about new concepts in language learnins a few years ago. I have used many flashcards but wished to find something like this. SO THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for the video! It was very useful. I know Anki and use it, but I didn't know all those features. Gracias por el video, fue muy útil para mí. He usado Anki por uno años, pero no sabía que tenía esas opciones para crear Flashcards.

Well done! I've just downloaded the app, and looking forward to upping my Korean level. Question: When adding tags, do you need to separate tags with commas, and is there a maximum number of tags that fit in the field?
@BreakOutandSpeak
@BreakOutandSpeak 2 ай бұрын
Nice! Enjoy it. Hope it helps with your Korean. You can create separate tags just by writing a space, and Anki will create two separate tags. If you want a tag of multiple words for that one tag you can use an underscore, like this (example_tag). There is no explicit maximum number of tags!

@@BreakOutandSpeak Good to know. I've just cracked it (Anki) open. Shared decks a mixed bag, but I still appreciate that we have access to others' content. I think I need to create my own. It'll be a hurdle, for sure. Thanks for the quick reply. I've just dug in to a couple more of your videos. Best wishes!

I have a question. I don't remember what I clicked, when I try to click on "show the answer," it doesn't show what I have written at the back, it just shows the one I have written in the front. What should I do about it? i wish i could put the screenshot here.

Hello, I'm not positive. Maybe edit a card (or create a new one) to double check you have the info entered the way you want it with the question on the top line and the answer on the bottom. When you click show answer it should reveal what you wrote on the bottom line

I want to make a deck with Oxford's most common 3 tousand words. How can I add words to Anki? I know there are many shared decks in its website but they are not basic and I just want word-translation deck. So how should I go? Adding step by step or another way? Thank youuu

Hello! Some options for ya: - Use a shared deck and delete or ignore the parts you don't want (also sometimes different shared decks have different features) - Import from a text file like a CSV if it's easier - Add word manually as part of practicing them - Use a browser extension to allow you to create cards from webpages (although I haven't tried this last option yet) I'd likely import or use a shared deck, but it's your call! Happy language learning

I downloaded the app in android, and I inported a deck for Chinese Language. I want to split the deck according to tags like Hsk1 to 6, how can I do that
@BreakOutandSpeak
@BreakOutandSpeak Ай бұрын
Hey, I would likely search by tag and then just create new decks for each tag. From the desktop app is the easiest to search, select, and just drop cards into a new deck

Hey, on the right side next to each deck on the Home Screen you'll see the number of cards that are due to review that day

@@BreakOutandSpeak Thank you for the reply! I created my first deck yesterday and reviewed it a couple of times. Perhaps, it’s still too soon, I’ll wait and see. At the moment, it just gives me a percentage and a letter grade.

Ah I see what you mean. Anki's system is to only to show you the cards that are due at that time and not again until you need them. You could always find the cards using the browse or filter features. Or go for Quizlet if you prefer to always have the cards there

@@BreakOutandSpeak thanks for the recommendation, Quizlet seems to be much more direct and dynamic!
