Why don't the scientific explanations of motivation quite fit kids with ADHD? In this hour-long webinar, Jerome Schultz, Ph.D., explains the difference between extrinsic motivation (I want to do this because of what tangible rewards it will bring me) and intrinsic motivation (I’m doing this because of how it makes me feel). He explains why traditional motivational methods miss the mark for ADHD brains (spoiler alert: it’s about their prediction of the outcome) - and shares very practical strategies that will get your kids going. Listen now for his simple but effective formula that will get children, adolescents, and young adults with ADHD from “here to there” and feel really good about making the journey.

I thought its mostly pseudoscience and telling people to "try harder" "just do it" "think positive" "think you can grow and do it" Fixed vs groth mindset stuff, but there seems to actually be some good science behind this one. Russel Barkley and Dr Dodson i liked best so far. I always enjoy highly cited (acording to google scholar) adhd experts as well, even if they say something i am skeptical about. Thanks for the Podcasts with experts Madam. :) Its relly not about attention and being too happy, its a serious disorder but complex, and it may be contaminated by people who are mild or have something else, especialy in the youtube comments. :)
