I don't think its good to set the cutoff at 3.0 per cell. That's low. I set mine at 3.5 per cell. Don't u think that a little dangerous?

Everyone who is trying to put them in Nihm Mide just turn "auto lipo" OFF it works. I run the castle Sidewinder SCT 3800lv combo with the 1410 series neu castle motor and I run a stock 7 cell 8.4V Traxxas Power Cell(Nihm)

@victorm316 victorm316: The battery voltage "under load" ,or while driving, will be much lower than when the pack is at rest. So even when the ESC hit's cutoff my cells are more likely to be around 3.5v after I unplug them. It's all personal preference though. That's why the cutoff is adjustable!

Well, I can say I had it in backwards XD the 3 pin was about to use it on my sidewinder sct 00-0123-01 (something like that) then found out that I had plugged back into wrong channel, after setting back to defaults, only changed the brake to 100% as my programmable remote set to half throttle switch, and when I use that, the brakes are very weak.

Hi, Just to make sure and be on the safe side here... After u hit update, just "unplug the ESC" and thats it? No "eject" or "disconnect" button to click in the program to "safely" unplug the ESC after updates/changes?

Do I use the curve feature to make my truck do a slow start? Because I don't want to blow the diff's on my summit.

I'm using a sidewinder sct and 4600 kv motor I believe, my car as soon as I touch the throttle instead of if being smooth start it kinda bolts a little so I'm gonna change the throttle curve down a lot, but also would I be able to set the timing on low with that current motor? Since it's not a sensored motor I'm not sure

Sensorless motors tend to have a little bit of a jerky start, but yeah, play with settings until you get it the way you want.

hello I have a question I've got a HPI Baja Flux and one of my lipos keeps on swelling I have tried 3S 11.1 volt 4500 and 14.8 volt 5000 milliamps 4S and they both swell only one of the batteries do it though do I have to use the programme to set the ECS voltage higher will that fix the problem

Is this thing going to apply the 3v cutoff if I use an NIMH battery? I do not want ANY cuttoff if I use NIMH.

"Device not linked" Is still showing red on the Castle link application for me, drivers are installed. I have tried both windows 8.1 x64 and windows 7 x86, but still remains red. Not sure what I did wrong as I did plugged in the throttle wire into the unit as per video. Any ideas?

I have an E-REVO with a Mamba Monster ESC in it and when I go to turn it on it does the normal beeps then just keeps beeping and will not move no matter what I touch on the remote. Is this because it is set for a LIPO? I am trying to run two 7 cell 8.4 volt NIMH batteries.

Hello there I have mamba max but I have 2 pc on win 7 64 bit and win xp 32 bit. In both, mamba max does not see USB drivers. what should I do. There is no problem with the Castle Link program. Windows says Mamba max ESC does not recognize device found.

There were a few setting I wouldn't recommend, like the low voltage cutoff 3.2 to be safe.

it has a motor type selection box that says brushless motor or brushed motor. it's in the basic tab

Yes, your ESC comes pre-programmed with default settings. The link allows you to tweak all of the settings for your own use. I have an E-Revo, and using the link I was able to get the power delivery and braking more to my liking. If you like your car as-is, you don't need to buy the link. But I found it very beneficial to adjust the settings to tone my car down a bit. It also helped with the heat problems I was having (motor timing was too high by previous owner)

Hello. Did everything the way it's supposed to be done. But when we give the car throttle, it starts off fast then just quits? Anyone know why it's just quit? Still have steering but no throttle. Thank you

@newbloodsk8r Newbloodsk8r: You need to re-calibrate your esc. Go to traxxas.com/products/models/electric/3705rustler-downloads and load your manual. It will walk you through to steps to recalibrate.

No, but just make sure it has the LiPo cutoff enabled and its at a safe voltage.

Yes. It doesn't matter if you run Nimh, Lipo, or Nicd. (Nickel Cadmium.) Just don't mess with the cutoff or voltage.

+Damon Humphreys ummm for several ESCs, yes, you do need a battery plugged into the ESC. I have a Hydra Ice 2 HV and it requires a battery at least 12v to be plugged in

+Nick Hansen That's because a Hydra Ice doesn't have a BEC. I don't see a Hydra Ice ESC in the video do you? So, my answer of 'No' still stands for the ESC in the video or any other ESC under 6S that Castle produce.

He is saying CH1 of RX = steering servo (turn) and CH2 = Throttle (burn). Just because you are clueless does not mean the tutorial sucks lol.

Castle is bull shit. The first time I decide to spend the money on what everyone says is the best. The esc is missing a screw and the shitty link that they give for free doesn’t work. SoO lame.
