I’m so sorry it took me so long to find this video. Having developed a gel polish allergy I was gutted that I had spent so much on polishes and chrome powders I could no longer use. Tried various top coats which crazed the chrome. Had used orly base coat but never thought to use it on top of the chrome. You are brilliant . Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

OMG that gel allergy...my nails are lifting right now. Came here for the same reason, I'm so glad it's still possible to use the chromes at least.

I got my UNT to last longer with a few small changes. I don't get it near my skin/cuticles,if i do i wipe it fast with an orange stick. When i apply the color i take care to go a bit over the base, capping it in (not only over the free edge but also at the cuticles and sides). At the end i do the same with my fast dry top coat, almost flooding my nail, then take a acetone brush and clean. When i do these steps i can have my manicure for a few days, even with cleaning ,i think the maximum i achieved was 5 days. If i don't follow these steps mine also say goodbye every 1-2 days .

I have the same issue with the unt ready for take off! But I’ve learned if I use a dehydrator on my nails before hand or cleanse with acetone, I can usually get 3 or 4 days before they start popping off.

Great video 😉. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who's nails pop off, even before the day is out, using UNT Take Off peel off basecoat! I was hoping for at least two days wear, as using the powders is a bit time consuming and I love the effect, but want it to sick around longer! I always wrap my tips, so maybe I'll try another water based basecoat, as mentioned in the previous comment.

As for water-based polishes that will remove with normal acetone, you can try an aqua base like Nfu-Oh. It has a slight hazy cast that Unt doesn't, but it isn't too bad. It has a wear time equivalent to normal polish. Also, even if you use Unt, you can remove your top coat with acetone, then peel off the Unt, then remove the polish underneath with acetone. I notice I get tip wear that causes delamination of the Unt after about a day anyway.

Thank you for your detailed explanation, Elena! I was chatting with you on IG earlier today while you were doing your live video (which was awesome, I might add) :) Thank you for the follow back on there! I had said I was going to follow you, but as it turned out, I already had been following you lol. Not to sound creeperish, but I follow you on all social media :) Your nail artistry is lovely and (as I said to you on Instagram) it's nice to connect with fellow Canadians. Once again, thank you for sharing all that you do, Elena :)

You had to file it off your nails??? Argh, that's awful. I did notice it didn't come off normally when I did this, but I absolutely didn't have that much trouble. I actually discovered a hack which was this. I'd put regular topcoat over my UNT so first I started with acetone and cotton. When I noticed I'd gotten down to the UNT layer, I simply ran my hands under warm water. Within 30 seconds it washed away and I was able to go back to the cotton and get the rest of the polish & powder off. (I've also done this using Little Ondine, which is a water-based peel off polish, and it worked the same way.) As far as UNT, I've gotten better wear by doing the following: 1) push cuticles SUPER well 2) clean nail plate with alcohol just before application and 3) apply UNT a little "short" then "seal" the edge of the base with the first coat of polish. However I've discovered that using Little Ondine base and polish, you can apply other things (glitters, powders) over them and for me, it wears a lot better than UNT. However, I did not have good results using just one layer of Little Ondine as a peel off base. Use at least 2 or 3 to avoid damaging your nails.

I think I got fobbed off with eBay chrome powder I spent so much money on these polishes to make the ebay ppwders work, the polishes came today, I applied it like you showed and it's not worked it's dull. What do you suggest I ordered polishes from raninbow. Not sure if you can tell me did your polish have chimes writing on the box of the but peel off polish was it a blue and black box. Please becus it didn't go shine as it's or it could well be my powder from eBay as they are jst in a small pot with number on it that's all. I'd be very greatfull if you can reply to me so I can do correctly. Although it look a better than eat I did before now I have to test it under water if comes away or not. thank you love it nails and video I'm from UK do u know any good website I can purchase the powders you have thank you. There’s so much satisfaction in a clean peel girl, chips are bleh lol! I have the same experience with gel polish, but only certain brands. CND Shellac has more flex to it versus OPI Gel Color - it’ll vary depending the brand. My nail beds are oily too, with a C curve and don’t expect anything to last long. My C curve isn’t intense but it’s there - I don’t mind it. LOL don’t make me laugh! Love yourself girl, I’m sure your beautiful!
