Everyone is talking about how good the testing kit is, I'm much worried about the Biohazard☣️ waste disposal management, which is poorly followed in our country, there is no disposal system from any municipal Corporation and even if it is there it's poorly followed. Before making the kit available to public, please ensure the safe Biohazard disposal management otherwise the consequences of late exposure and mutation in environment is highly expected

Antigen test report will not help traveler's still RTPCR report required, this test kit for ensuring people that should they go for RTPCR test or not. There is more chance that you will get positive report in this test than RTPCR as far I know.

Excellent move by the Govt. of India. In my city, there're cases where covid -ve people are testing +ve after visiting the testing center/lab as the testing center/lab has incoming covid +ve patients & the lab/center isn't following the strict protocols of social distancing & there's no proper sanitization done in the testing room after each person is tested.

@@sumith6889 i think if icmr has approved it , it must be giving correct result for those who are covid +ve as +ve , which means if u dont have covid you will not get positive in there as previously many people were getting +ve result in rapid antigen tests even when they were -ve . so i think it reduces those number , but there is some confusion if u get -ve are u 100%-vs or not , if not then how much likely is -ve result here will turn into +ve in reality, is it 5%or 10% or lesser than 5% ,is a big question , which is not answered

Best way to decrease burden on govt. So almost 1250rs from a family is getting benefitted by govt through these kits. Everything is perfect..But do u guys think people will follow the last step?? Discarding the sample kit properly..?? They will throw it out just like a normal medicine in dustbins.. Which is not a good idea..

Rt pcr and rat tests are showing false negative. So this is no guarantee. People are mostly on able to confirm with ct scan. A lot of people are getting diagnosed late because of this.

Nice business. The person who gets a normal headache can also check whether he is positive or not. Normally, people will go to test centre after 2 to 3 days of symptoms. "Coviself" is encashing that. We can see Diabetes patients check their sugar levels again and again with the glucometer on hourly basis also with anxiety

Why is this hyped? there is already a Antigen the kit available in the market called Sure Status Antigen Test Kit. It is pretty simple for an individual to do at home as well. ICMR can approve that for home self testing as well. Nothing against the company, just that more players in the market the better, as then the total kits available in the market will be much higher if there are multiple companies

We should be able to buy it coz if one feels symptoms they can test! Dang how would we know if that other person has covid..I thought with these tests we can test ourselves if we feel unwell. If covid detected in early it can be cured but not everyone can get the lab tests done so these can help immensely but won't be sold individually! I know black market and hoarding are risks but at least allow one for each Diabetic and other illness ppl.They can take adhar card number.

Rapid antigen test is the worst predictor or test to take for covid Detection. Last year when my family was suffering my dad got hospitalized so they used rapid test where I was only shown positive and 4 other members of my family is shown as negative. Luckily one of my cousins is a doctor you said to take RTPCR. And we did take it and the results was we alla are positive. So it only predicts 1 in 5 only 20% which is worst. So take rtpcr test.

How the Gov. plans to manage the disposal of these test kits? cause many people will buy as it is available easily and don't need doctors prescription. Because its not just any waste its a hazardous waste. I hope they have mentioned the disposal of this kit. Antigen test has no guarantee and this is my personal experience if u hv any kind of symptoms just go with RT-PCR test because right time medication is very important in covid positive case and in case antigen gives u wrong result then there can be very serious situation. Stay safe

I am covid positive and RAT results were negative for me despite me being sick.. Don't know the authenticity of this product.. for me RT-PCR still is the best available option.. all of these products are just another money making products for pharma companies

Bought 4 of these test kits quite recently. Was so disappointed cos in two of the packs, there was no solution in the extraction tube. Yes, the tube was completely dry. Without the solution, the test could not be run. 500 Rupees wasted. 😞

If one doesn't wants to share nobody can stop them from hiding it, they will always find a loophole. I have heard about people who give fake name and number in RT-PCR forms. And some who never tell their neighbours and hide it as "typhoid" or "seasonal viral" etc. What can you do about such miscreants?

Not easy to do. A negative result from this will have to go for RT-PCR test again So wastage of money. Since public are not expert medical professionals, chances of morw negative results or failed tests are likely. So Rs.250/- is gone and again minimum RT-PCR test to be done with Rs. 950/-. So ultimately a loss deal for the masses but the company will make huge money as people will like to buy to do experiment at the cost of Rs.250/-.

It is because you are asymptomatic. But don't go out and meet other people, do a self quarantine

I am actually angry on the govt that these scientist had to fund their own development cost. NPA destroyed on research is more essential to overall growth than NPA destroyed in poverty.(especially in a country like India)
