That’s dip flu is something serious. I tried to use a mask but I felt the fumes in my tear ducts and cause me to get sick again.

This is a game changer! Since gel lines that are formulated well are so expensive, this way I can use just a base & top coat from say Kokoist and get a full range of colours for about 10% of what each bottle would cost. Amazing!

Game changer I hated using the glue base for the dip powders and the issue with the brushes hardening all the time now I can use my dip powders as well as my gels I just bought!

Great idea for applying powder to your non dominant hand! Applying acrylic nails to my non dominant hand is a nightmare! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Im going to try this ! I hated the powder gels because of the activator .. all my brushes turned so hard … i couldn’t even use them anymore … i nearly want to throw all my dip powder colors … thanks for this idea! ❤

A tip before you get started, get a tooth pick, after applying base and pouring the dip powder, run the tooth pick around the nail and skin, to separate any base coat or powder from the skin, then cure…especially if your base case dribbles to the sides and near the cuticle, or accidentally painted some base coat on the skin… Happy dipping

HI ERICA IM NEW TO THIS SYSTEM COULD PLEAS TELL ME AFTER YOU HAVE POURED THE DIP POWDER ON TOP OF THE GEL BASE THEN CURED WHEN IT CAME TIME TO FILE OR BUFF THE NAIL WANT THE SURFACE TACKY BECAAUSE OF THE GEL BASE COAT. AND IF YES... WHAT DID YOU DO TO GET IT LESS TACKY BEFORE FILING.

You can remove tacky layer with alcohol so it won’t ruin your files. Then wipe again then top coat!

Is there a list available of the colours that fade doing this process? Is there any other way of protecting the dip colour from colour fade eg: applying builder gel to encapsulate the colour?

Mine used to come out like that but it was because I needed to file more and I made thinner layers as well with the gel

GREAT TECHNIQUE HERES MY QUESTION... AFTER FINAL CURING OF GEL BASE ISNT THE PRODUCT TACKY SINCE THAT IS WHAT GEL BASE COATS ARE. SINCE THERES NO ACTIVATOR WOULDNT MY BUFFER GET PRODUCT ON IT? WOULDNT I ALCOHOL SWIPE BEFORE BUFFING NAIL THEN.. MOVE ON TO TOP COAT APPLICATION. ALSO ISNT YOUR THE GEL BASE AND TOP REQUIRED TO BE WIPED OFF WITH ALCOHOL?

It’s surprisingly not tacky after you cure. And if you have a no wipe top coat you won’t need to wipe that with alcohol either. Just makes sure all dust is brushed off after you cure the base coats and before you add the top coat. Source, I just did my nails this morning and have been doing them for the past few years.

@@shaunteanderson1425 Hi shaunte thank you for providing a answere to my question. I'm going to give this tutorial a try one day still can't process there steps. Base coat cure, then base coat again pour dip powder then cure. Why base coat twice??? 🤔 and all my gel base coats have a sticky layer to them that's what makes the gel top coat adhere to the gel top coat. And... thank you for reminding me of the " no wipe gel top coat." Yes I do have some of those to. P.s. I am hoping the ROSSI COMPANY WILL REPLY TO MY QUESTIONS AS WELL.🤞🤞

I find it’s not strong enough, can you use the activator after you cure the gel in the led to give make it harder?

No. The activator can only be used if you are using dip liquids. You may have to increase your cure time on your gel or make your layers thinner so your gel is getting fully cured correctly

I add fast drying clear acrylic to dip powder in proportions 3acrylic:1dip powder and it works and lasts a month. Dries slightly slower, but still dries.

No, because its as if you're only doing a gel manicure. Remember- you're curing one coat of base BEFORE starting the dip process. Adding the dip powder makes it act as an acrylic manicure without having to do a primer/bonder.
