How to Use Double Edit Keybinds to Edit Like Raider464 in Fortnite

Double edit keybinds were made popular by Raider464.
When he showed his insanely fast editing speed, many players thought he was cheating.
But Raider464 doesn't use macros, he uses different editing keybinds from most players.
Double edit keybinds are when you use two different keys for editing. You use one key to start the edit and a different key to confirm the edit.
By using two different keys to edit you can edit faster because pressing two keys with different fingers is faster than pressing one key with only one finger.
When you set up double edit keybinds, you want to use one key on your keyboard and a side mouse button.
A problem that players using double edit keybinds face is when using the scroll wheel as an instant edit. This seems impossible as you already have primary and secondary keybinds for editing.
But you actually can use double edit keybinds with a scroll wheel reset and this is known as triple edit keybinds.
You can set up triple edit keybinds by using either your mouse software or keyboard software.
If you’re using your mouse software, you’ll need to change the side mouse button to the keyboard button that you use for editing.
If you’re using your keyboard software, you’ll need to change the key that you use for editing and remap it to the mouse button.
Now you'll only need to use a single primary keybind to edit with since the key on your keyboard and the button on your mouse does the same function.
So you can set the secondary keybind for your building edit and reset building edit to either scroll wheel up or scroll wheel down.
But should you use double edit keybinds?
In my opinion, no.
Double edit keybinds have a tough learning curve and sacrificing a side mouse button leads to sub-optimal keybinds.
Also, I think you can edit fast enough using a single edit keybind with confirm edit on release.
Look, you're not going to be able to edit as fast as Raider464 just by using double edit keybinds.
Raider464 has been grinding Fortnite Creative edit maps for hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours to perfect his technique.
And the reason that Raider464 can edit as fast as he does is as a result of his technique, not necessarily his keybinds.

Thanks for clearing that up. There is no way you are going to be as good as Raider464 without putting in the hours. I think a lot of people get frustrated by getting outplayed. But it's simple. The players who outplay have done the hours of practice to get there.

nah bro, its luck. you are not completely wrong but still luck is a key factor in life, for example people have different brain speeds some even have dementia, so there is no way some people will ever be able to beat people with the advantage assuming everyone put in the same hours of practice. even in just keyboard typing you have people who can reach 250 words per minute without much practice just genetics

There is a way to get quad edit binds but not the way you think, for example I use F as edit and G as select edit, it lets you keep scroll wheel and you still get fast editing, you may ask, where’s the forth, if you use your mouse button at the same time, so hitting F G Left Click, it makes it so much faster and you still keep your scroll wheel, feel free to use any keys you don’t need to use specifically F and G, just have one as edit and confirm and have two select edit binds

There is a delay if you bind your mouse to your editing key. I recommend binding your keyboard to thumb mouse button instead (only on razer softwares) And sorry for bad english:)

For the f and g notepad test, since there are two keys being pressed and the notepad considers it as two character it makes sense that there are more f and g than only f, so if you divide by two for each key he clicked each key slight slower than just one

Sivlerr ' i was on for about 3 days my edit binds were f and b, my problem is that i use my side mouse buttons for building so it’s not as efficient for me but i would say switch if you want to. i was doing pretty good but i’ve just been so used to single edit bind so i stuck with single edit bind. it worked pretty good btw took some time to get used to
