Thank you so much for the videos! I have a ddl9000C I purchased a few years ago and it’s been great but there are so many things I don’t know about it. I purchased it at a quilt show as it was being marketed for free motion quilters. I completed a few quilts and everything was great but now no matter what, my thread shreds when I free motion. It never did before ( same thread) and I sew almost every day without a problem. It’s just the free motion. I reached out to my dealer for help but they insisted I was wrong about the model…. Apparently not many of these were made but it’s very similar to yours. I’d love to see a video on the free motion settings because I’m pretty sure something is just off on mine. Thanks so much!

Usually with these you have to set the stitch length to "0" and have your adjustable ruler foot attached and you just keep testing until it doesn't skip stitches and does the job well. If you are shredding thread then I suggest looking for burs on the needle plate and hook.

OMG! Thank you so much for this video. I recently purchased a industrial sewing machine (waiting for it to be delivered) with similar function buttons. For almost two weeks I had been searching on YT for videos on how to use the function buttons and was unsuccessful until now. I'm going through your playlist to learn everything so I can be prepared when my machine arrives. Again, thank you and continue to stay blessed.

Hello, which of the two machines would you recommend for individual tailoring in a small studio? I choose from two models: Juki DDL-8000 ASMS vs Juki DDL-900CS-M?

Personally I like the DDL-900C as it is operated by stepping motor technology so there is very little noise. It also has the electronic knee lift so is not heavy to operate.It has all the automatic functions that are all easy to operate.

Thank you, I want this machine. Is it possible to sew light fabrics on this machine? How do I turn off the sound on the display?

This machine is designed for light garment weight fabrics so would suit well for your required purpose. There are parameters internally to turn functions on and off.

I just recieved my New DDL 900C December 21, 2022,. This model they Showcase During 2021 CISMA, China International Sewing Machine And Accessories that I atttended in Ning Bo China,. Then Unit I purchased from Juki Shanghai China,.,

I have just purchased this machine and my thread tension disk won’t open when I lift the foot making it a bit annoying at-the end of sewing to pull the thread through. I also am finding setting tension impossible and I am not new to sewing or using an industrial machine. Is there a trick to this ? Where I brought it from said they don’t know the machine as they haven’t sold one before

@marilynhall8458, if you are lifting the foot with the knee lift to pull the job out then you have to change a setting in the computer. Go into the settings and select "Clamp & Tension Setting", click the next page arrow then you need to select 7-U031 to on position. If you are lifting the foot using the foot pedal then this should be automatically opening the tension disks. Hope this helps. It will only open the disks for a preset time then close, this cannot be adjusted.

The motors on the machine are all servo motors so they are brushless. They were designed to work flat out all day in a factory situation so really you should be able to work for as long as you want to with no issues.
