I use Google SItes quite a lot for class content, elective subject selection for students and to teaching digital citizenship where students show their learning in their own Google Site. I often have teachers from my school asking me how to start making a Google Site and now I will just give them a link to your video as it is so easy to understand and no waffle in there. I wish there was a video like this when I started using Google Sites as it would have saved me hours of trial and error. I've followed you for about 2 years now and find your videos informative, helpful and straight to the point (I don't have time for irrelevant waffle on videos). Thanks for the great content.

I love that most other site builders, like WordPress for instance, have 30-minute "THE BASICS, for beginners!" videos. Meanwhile, the completely thorough expert overview of Google Sites is only 30 minutes.

Seth, you're a legend mate! Love your teaching style and how you explain everything in simple, non technical term that even I can understand! What's got me is your video is 2 years old already but the Google Sites format hasn't changed at all, unlike WordPress and many other website builders I've tried to follow. If the video is outdated, it makes learning that much harder and gives you nothing but headaches!

I would love to have chat box so my students can communicate with one another while they are browsing the site. And I would like it if my students can edit the Google Doc that I've inserted in the site instead of being directed to a new tab to type their work😂. Thank you for your videos Mr Sethi. Thank you for your valuable time .. I've learn a lot from you... I do have a problem it should be small for you but it's bigger for me. What is the best or Default size for header of google site? It always get cut from upper and lower sides or from RHS. What's will be the solution of it? I want to use canva.

It really depends on the header type used. I would suggest using 2560x1440 and higher depending on the type you will use. Canva is excellent to create these

Yes depending on the used header intend to use a lot of trial and error. Having additional space above and below helps a lot.

I wish someone could answer this but how can I have a multilanguage site? I've been using a lot of these tutorials to make my own art blog and I'm in a comfortable position to say that it's nearly finished! And thanks so much for that! However I'm really stuck because I want my blog in English and Spanish. Not at all. The domain will let you have a cleaner url but I know many who use the sites url or stick to url shortners to achieve an easy to share website address.

I have a few questions in using google sites. I really appreciate if anybody could answers my question. 1. Can we make a fixed background image on google sites? 2. Can we make a sticky header or even other things (text/image) fixed position? 3. Can we add css and javascript on existing google sites element (not from embedded)? If not, can someone give an alternative, since the embedded feature doesn't allow us to make it fullscreen size so its really annoying that i couldn't code background image. thank you

Excellent video and explanation as always S. Listen, I see there's no support for multilingual websites (English and Spanish, for example). Is there any way to have a Google Site in both languages? Isn't that feature a must in 2021??

I agree that would be agreat feature to have. Sadly it is not supported and even when pushing a Google Sites through Google translate it wont translate. Multi Language website are very high on my wishlist.

Issue i have right now is that...when i embed a custom button and link it to a page on my google sites...it opens up in a new tab and not on the same window.... Only way i can open on the same window is if i use the insert buttons that comes with the site by default. But i dont like the designs. I want an animated button.

This is a much needed video. But I am facing a problem with my site. I've created one subpage for each of the chapters and hid them from navigation. I placed images related to each chapter on home and linked each image with respective page. But now there are many images in home. How can I use a load more button instead of infinite scroll?

I went to the viewer tools in setting option. But I only see "Show page last updated time". I DO NOT see Contact Form. My website is published so that is not the problem. Can you help me with that??

It is possible the Domain Admin has turned off this feature for the users. I would check with your domain admin and see if they may consider activating this feature.

Just want to give more info: I bought the domain from google domains. But I have not bought any hosting plans as of know. Will this Contact Form option be available only when hosting is also there??

The seo is directly pulled from the content present on the sites. I have seen some sites rank very high (even first result for niche sites) after about a week.

@@FlippedClassroomTutorials Interesting to know. I've been told to only use more complex builders because they rank better with good seo. I can't imagine that Google of all people, would discount a Google site if SEO were done correctly within. Thanks!

The more complex builder give you more granular control and let you add meta data. Sites however uses the power of Google search and the way they index websites. So if you've got the content. You'll rank.

Google sites would not be my preferred platform if tou are looking for affiliate marketing. It's an excellent tool tool get started online and have a website. However monetization and affiliate marketing would be better done using a different platform.
