You need a battery tag flex cable to connect to any battery for Apple to recognize it as original and show you battery max capacity percentage in the settings.

Hi, can you provide a video for a more recent iPhone (11,12,13)? Is it the case that it is a LOT more difficult and not as easy as that shown in this video? I have seen one video for iPhone 11 battery replacement in which they pull out a component from the original battery and have to solder it on to the replacement. I think they were using Apple batteries and so I am unsure if this is necessary for 3rd party (it was in Chinese with subtitles). Also, do you need to purchase additional 'Flex cables' which I have seen for later model batteries?

I am using a Qianli iCopy Plus 2.1 and I am trying to perform battery data correction on an Iphone XR battery. When I connect the XR battery to the iCopy Plus Board, I can see the green LED light (connect) comes on to say that there is connection. But when I click 'READ' on the Qianli Repair Helper Software, I keep getting the message "the battery data is not charged. Please insert the battery". So the iCopy is not reading the battery. Do you know why this could be? Thank you.

This still throws up an error in ios after doing the data transfer across the batteries from the old one to the new one.

I changed my iPhone 8 battery for a original one and now it doesn't show the usage in each app (in percent)...What can be the problem? By the way, the system (IOS 15.3) shows battery health normaly. Thanks!

what was the point ? when the aftermarket battery was used, the same things arrived in the icopy display before you overwrited it.

My iCopy Plus tool can read the iPhone 7 battery data but store it for some reason so unable to write to the replacement battery. Not sure if it's a battery issue or the device itself. Never had this issue before.

I did 2 x XS Max batteries today both still showed non genuine battery after serial info copied over with icopy plus. Now I get to see a red notification dot permanently so I keep checking settings app.

This video is not accurate for newer phones. I believe for the X / XS / XR and onwards you also have to de-solder/cut the BMS (Battery sensor) which is at the very bottom of the battery under what feels like a rigid bit of plastic, it's actually tape, and if you carefully unwrap the tape you will see a small thin circuit board, black in colour with two gold chips on it. You need to either cut this board off from the two silver connectors connecting it to the battery or de-solder it. You then need to resolver this BMS board to a new battery (by removing the BMS board from the new battery and attaching this one removed from the old battery with a spot welder) or just buy a battery BMS kit which comes without a BMS module and two silver tabs that you can solder the original BMS module onto. I've just bought a spot welder for this exact type of repair, there's plenty of videos for how to do this on KZfaq. Search "iPhone BMS Battery replacement". For the iPhone X, XS, XR once you've done the above you have to reset the battery health and cycle on the battery itself to 0 and 100% using a tool like QianLi iCopy Plus 2.2 as seen in this video with the battery board. For iPhone 11/12/13/14 you have to do the same process as for the iPhone X/XS/XR but you have to buy what's called a "tag on flex cable" for the respective module, I.e an iPhone 11 tag on flex cable for the battery for an iPhone 11, 12 for 12 etc. This tag on flex cable goes between the original battery connector, and the logic board connector and essentially tricks the iPhone into thinking it's an authentic apple certified battery and makes battery health work. If you don't do this you'll either see "Service" with the non-genuine battery warning message show up, OR you'll see two dashes under the battery health section where the percentage is usually shown.

Yes it will get rid of the warning that’s the whole point, not 100 sure if it will work for the 12 the latest product says up to 11 on the device so I would like to know my self kuz I want to order this.. hopefully the 12 batt is compatible with it other wise we gotta wait till they release a newer version

The reason to transfer battery data is that when u install a non genuine battery it won't show battery health in settings if you transfer the battery will work properly and it won't transfer cycle counts unless you wanted to

@@benjamincyr1697i guess the reason to transfer is when u check in 3utools usually when u replace ur battery it will show up as battery has been replaced if transfered it wont in 3utools
