How to Use Iodine

There are lots of ways to purify your water while camping or traveling to countries without clean drinking water. The easiest and cheapest is iodine tablets, which you can buy for less than $5 at an outdoors store. They take up hardly any room and take 30 minutes to clean a liter of water.

Morning? Afternoon? Before bed? On empty stomach? With food? Added to drinks or only water? Hot drink OK or only cold?

Just do water see if it works for you Start low It’s not necessary in high doses

With the fact that Iodine can be used topically for breast issues, removing moles, and a few other things - as well as the fact that you can ingest it... I am wondering if I can possibly use it either on the back of my ear or possibly in my ear. I experienced a full complete loss of hearing in one ear as a child after having an MMR "sharpie" given "on schedule" at one of my wellness visits before attending school. I could hear perfectly out of both ears before that happened so I know what it felt like and I would sure give the world to have that hearing back. (I sing in an audition ensemble at college and I also play classical piano)... Anyone know if I could use it to possibly help regain my hearing in that ear?

Shieee .. i've heard of people successfully treating skin cancer with strong Iodine solution. This stuff is magic :)

Hi @emilygrace1960 you can try this, its helping immediately when you have otitis: take two glasses, one full of water, the other empty. Drop one drop of Lugol's solution into the empty space. Then return the excess Lugol's to the bottle and take 15 drops of water in the pipette, which you drop into a glass with one drop of iodine. Then a mixture of one drop of Lugol's solution and 15 drops of water is dripped into the ear (two or three drops) and the pain stops instantly! PS: There is no difference in preparation for children and adults, it is mixed equally. Also, there is no need to boil the water to prepare the mixture, nor to rinse the mixture from the ear after you have dripped it there, however after 30 seconds you keep your head tilted, straighten it so that the mixture can drain from the ear by itself (so that your ear does not hurt of iodine). If the inflammation doesn't go away completely, just repeat the procedure and don't be alarmed if your ear hurts a little after you drip.
