Did it this week. First time didnt work. Possibly too much physical strenght. A few days later tried again. Just chillax and do what the sensei in this clip explains. Worked perfectly. And like always with aikido, its fun to do and brings a smile to our face!

やはり初心者は崩れないのですね! そこが悩んでいるところです。

ここでは、シテが初心者の場合は上手に相手を崩せないという意味で天野先生はおっしゃっていますね。

bravo, this explain the myth about aikidos practicality in real fight. its easy to apply the technique at the instant of the contact in the dojo, but in real life it maybe really hard cus u need to determine if the coming guy is kind or not

Bro, peddling that conspiracy theory again? There is no "myth", only people who dont know aikido except from watching some clips and thinking they know it all. "the coming guy is nice or not". Bro, you put too much assumed power in the hands of the attacker, it doesnt matter if the attacker is "nice or not". its a victim attitude. all that matters is if i am going to be nice or not nice. its my decision not the attackers.
