yes, you can usually pay with foreign cards in Korean taxis.

What do the drivers usually say when they call to find out if you're at your pick up location (especially if the user doesn't speak Korean well)?

Most of the time they won't call unless they arrive. But sometimes they can't find the exact spot or if they are stuck in traffic, then they could reach out.

You can go into your bank account to see the transaction or go to History. There you can see each transaction and save it.

Hi, I'm from the Netherlands and I'm traveling to Seoul in April. I've tried to make an account for both Naver Maps and Kakao T, but for some reason my Dutch phone number won't recieve any verification code. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Both apps are very important for traveling in the city and I wouldn't know what to do without them

Yes, you can use Kakao taxi from the airpot. We would recommend to book your taxi in advance as this will save you money and it will be waiting for you when you arrive.

Somebody said that “If your Kakao account is linked to the overseas number, you can only book a bike”. Is it true that you need Korean number only to book a taxi ?

If you want to rent a bike in Seoul, we would recommend to use the Seoul Bikes. There are much more options. You can find info here: www.bikeseoul.com

For setting up Kakao Taxi, you don't need to set up a payment method. This is a step you can skip as you can pay to driver.

Uber is 100% available in Korea and you can use the same app in Korea with same payment information

If you want to connect your card to the app, you need a Korean card. But you can also choose to pay in the taxi using cash, t-money card or bank card.
