Useful info Pete. Building a template in Logic Pro and created color-coded MIDI regions for song sections instead of the built-in markers.

They’re handy. Not as useful as GarageBand sections in my opinion. If we could have sections that you can colour code AND name I’d be all in! 😎

Pete, thank you! Your videos have helped me so much. Is there a way to jump from marker to marker with a hot key (maybe a command or even a foot switch)? Like firing the next track for a live assist type of thing?

Great tip, Pete. I’m so in love with Logic Pro for iPad! Using markers can be very handy, and other iPad DAWs don’t have this feature.

this is helpful. I am using multiple tracks for drums so the cycle option works great for playing with other instruments. Is there a way to then add an intro and then it moves to a cycle? same at the end as it feel abrupt just to stop the track.

Unfortunately not. Logic Pro doesn't have any sections or the ability to view only parts of a project. Only the "cycle" option but that will just control what is played back.

You can copy/paste/insert the cycle section which kind of gives you that functionality

How were you able to use garageband presets? I am seeing garageband icons/presets on that project of yours. I believe they're main vocals and acoustic guitar - arent they presets from garageband? Or are they just icons for customization? Thank you!

Is there a way to lock the markers in place so they cannot be moved? With the cramped screen on the iPad its way to easy to move them by mistake (forgive me if I missed this).

when i added a new marker, i didn't move the playhead so it added it on top, but idk where the first one went to.

On Logic Pro on my iPad, for some reason I can’t drag and change the order of my effects. Whether in the mixer view or in the icon view.

That’s great thank you. It would be good just to see the markers, rather than a lot of screen area being taken up by the tempo track, which may be irrelevant to the song…but it’s version 1.0!

I got Logic for ipad a couple days ago and I have noticed that sometimes when I open it my bluetooth headphones don’t connect and the sound just comes out of the ipad speaker. It breaks all other apps too. The only way to stop it from doing this is to power off my ipad and turn it back on but idk if there is a proper way to turn it off or not.

Hmmmm…. Probably not designed to use with Bluetooth due to latency issues. I’d always recommend wired headphones for audio production. studiolivetoday.com/gear

Hey there. There are mil to select and select all options, but arrangement isn’t super convenient.

@@PeteJohnsMusic Hi Pete! I'm also looking for ways to move all regions within a marker. In other versions of logic they have "arrangement markers" in order to do this, which easily let you change the order of the parts of your song, all regions at a time. I see apparently Logic for Ipad doesn't have that feature, does that mean I have to manually "cut/ paste" every single track in a marker when I want to rearrange that region??? 😢 What do you mean with the word "mil"? (Up in this comment you said you can use "mil" to rearrange --pardon the ignorance, English is not my first language.
