The reason people say it doesn't work is because they have deep scratches not because they don't know how to use it. Its self explanatory on how to use it
@NewOrleansSpeed6 жыл бұрын
eksine yaaaaa the video and the product itself is super simple. I even go on to describe the kind of scratches it’ll fix, but you can’t fix stupid, you can only fix clear coat scratches lol.

@@NewOrleansSpeed what would be a good option for deep scratches?
@NewOrleansSpeed5 жыл бұрын
Farrukh R for deep scratches you going to need filler, paint and a coat. I honestly don’t know to much about filling deep scratches, but AMMO NYC should. He is a great car detailer. I’d type in “Ammo NYC scratch fill” or search up ChrisFix!

This and the other Meguiar's polishing product, Ultimate Polish work great. I use Scratch X-2.0 for taking out mild to moderate scratches in the clear coat and use it with a wetted foam applicator pad(not cloth-faced). I also like to use one of those foam pads that is backed by a handle or knob that distributes the pressure on the rubbing surface evenly. I do overlapping circular swirls in one direction and then finish with overlapping circular swirls in a perpendicular direction. The final step is to use a microfiber polishing cloth folded in half, to produce 4 clean polishing surfaces. The first wipe on one side removes the bulk polish residue, then it gets flipped for a final wipe on the opposite clean side. I use the Ultimate Polish in the same way for removing surface haze, micro scratches or swirl marks. I have a 2019 glossy black car that shows every little scratch and imperfection in the paint but these two products, and the way that I use them, are producing great results. I originally used Scratch X to polish the nitrocellulose finish on my old-school electric bass.
@justinkline12943 жыл бұрын
Wow, you used it on a nitro finish? That speaks volumes to any vintage bass player. Thanks, now I'm sold.
@ryanshouseperformance18076 жыл бұрын
That scratch X will work a whole lot better if you rub/buff it in till its gone. And it will actually finish like a polish. Takes some extra time and elbow grease, but warrants better results.

This is very true. I will pin this so others see. Thanks for the positive and helpful input!

@@NewOrleansSpeed // it's 1000% better than " Simoniz colour restorer "!!! that actually scratched my car ! also when I rang Simoniz UK they bullshitted me the guy who knows it's in and outs was out of his office! no return call as promised or reply from thier web site contact! It's TERRIBLE stuff ... Magiis Scratch X is loads better
@Reek904 жыл бұрын
It works but it’s not a miracle worker. If you apply it right along with compound polish it will work, if it’s not working the the scratch is deep. I had a mix between deep and light scratches in one area and removed most of it but the deeper ones still remained. Not to noticeable but it’s better than it was.
@NewOrleansSpeed4 жыл бұрын
thank you for the comment, this is exactly why I have been telling people to read the description first. Seems like people dont understand the difference between a clear coat scratch and a deep scratch

Do you have to use polish to effectively remove scratches? I'm an idiot and used the coarse side of a dish washing sponge to scrub the hell out of my entire car... the whole car has circular scratches all over the surface.

thats a big oof dude, i dont know if polish would be able to fix that, can you see the scratches if you apply water to the spot?

I have similar 'stains/scratches on my 8 years old Citroen. Some are exactly like yours and I can kind of feel them with my finger. And some are outliners of old bird-poop. No matter what I do I cant seem to be able to get them off. Is this worth trying? be honest please, I've spent already enough money with no success.

When I use ScratchX, it creates some kind of an outline bordering the scratch. Think of a ring worm. Any idea how to remove it?
@NewOrleansSpeed5 жыл бұрын
Argel Cruz did you make sure the surface of the car and cloth were both 100% clean before hand? It may have caused the outlying scratches, but if they aren’t deep scratchX and polish should clean it up. Otherwise I don’t know
@_TheUninvited5 жыл бұрын
Yeah the car is newly washed as well as the mf cloth. Doesn't look like a scratch to me, when I try to apply scratch x to the "outline" it just becomes a bigger outline. The original outline disappears.

A normal bottle of cheap wax would do the same thing that stuff does which is nothing but give it a little shine around the scratch I took a normal bottle of Meguiars wax and cleared the scratch better than that stuff did
