Short cycles are only okay for lightly soiled laundry. If your laundry is quite dirty I wouldn’t recommend running a short program. Also: it uses more electricity and more water. Because it has to heat up the water very quickly and rinse the laundry with more water to get all the detergent out. I would only recommend this if you’re in a hurry. That why the ECO mode on 60 degrees and 30 degrees take 30 minutes longer. It takes longer but the machine will use less electricity and less water.
