Very good stuff. Been using Inventor professionally for 10 years. It has a very broad spectrum of usage but my use is a very narrow spread. For instance with top/bottom part and lip features which have the same dimensions for the inside and outside part...

The split & combine kind of translate to the slice & union commands in ACAD. hey if I have an assembly and I am working on a part, and i want to make a new part from a solid body how do I do that? i tried to do it myself, but it only worked the way I wanted one time

this will work great for making parts that will be 3D printed, but the part is to complex to print in one go. now i can break up my single parts so when i go to printing its easier to deconstruct them for easy printing

What if I had a complicated design, that would benefit from creating parts together and then having them exploded into separate ipt files BUT I only wanted to make a rough sketch of the assembly this way to sort of see how those parts fit together, what should their dimensions be, etc. and keep working and polishing those parts in separate files? You know, because working on small things in a big file is hard but seeing how they change "live" would be cool. Sadly changes in the assembly-like.ipt file affect "children" .ipt files but changes made to "children" files do not affect the parent file.

Why is my part adaptive is checked but it's greyed out. When I edit the part all the sketehces are adaptive. Weird.

Hi, thank you for a great video, as always. However I have a question regarding the way of dealing with a very complex parts. So, my problem is that when I am creating some very complex parts for injection modling, after some time it becomes something like a "spagetti code". What I would like to say is that when I am trying to change something or remove for example an extrusion, inventor freezes or sometimes even windows is crushing with BOD (after a last crush I had to reinstall the whole OS). What would you suggest to keep the flexibility to change something in the development process? To use multi-body parts and edit bodies separately or maybe to make an assembly from multiple "part's parts" and simplify it at the end? What is your experience? Maybe you could share some hints for designing the injection molding parts, but more like how to deal with it and what is the proper way of designing proces than an inventor tools? Best regards

good information , but you speak too much , this is not complicated process , you can show it to us in less time . I watched the bending tutorial you sepnt lot time explaning the bending line . Please dont get me wrong but you can make the lesson shorter and more useful
