I find that leaving one drill off so that you can place that spot over the existing one helps to line them up better.

This was very useful. I got so frustrated cuz the diamonds would not let go of the multiplacer. So your wiggle technique worked great! Thankyou Rachel! Also I noticed you slide the tool thru the tray to push the diamonds into a row of 3 or more. Neat trick.

3 years ago I was prescribed medication that had a severe side effect on my working memory, one of the effects being that I can’t count more than up to 3. Actually I can count but after 3 I can’t remember, even if I say it out loud. The visual memory was originally affected (so I could count 4 things but my brain was only able to “see” 3) but that improved slowly since then. I’m waiting for my first DP to arrive, I’m hoping I’ll be able to do it anyway - as long as I follow the symbols... Great video, very calming and useful, thank you.

I’m loving your videos. I’m very new to diamond painting, almost finishing my first painting. With regard to this video about multi-placers, you make it look so easy. Please tell me you were placing diamonds all over the place, dropping them and hardly picking them up when you first started with the multi-placer like I am 🤪

Thanks for the tip that the 9 placer perhaps may not be useful for those with shaking hands. I have Parkinsons syndrome (tremors, some doctors call it.) I do have success with the 3 placer though! Thanks for your videos!

I find that multi-placers can make the painting look quite messy. I prefer to place them one by one and have every single drill perfectly lined up and straight

I thought multiplacers would be a good idea.. finally recieved my package yesterday and used my multitool .. I don't like it.. my gems are circle not square so maybe that's why. but mine don't line up perfectly .. im having to go over it afterwards and having to try fix up the placement and moving them is annoying.. easier to just place one by one and get it right the 1st time ..

Just rock it gently back and forth away from the pen part and it will come out. :)

You can press it on the table, or on a misshapen or 'trash' diamond... I use my nail bed or press it on the plastic covering of my Diamond painting.

Is there a way to match non-dmc diamonds w/ dmc diamonds in order to store them together? For instance- Diamond Dots uses 8000's... Do they have dmc matches?

Yes, all you need is a DMC color chart to match them.

Hi Roselin, you can cut it if you wish, I choose to only cut the paper when I'm finished working on a section. Typically the store will cut the protective paper in strips if it's a bigger painting. Then it's easy to peel back and work on one manageable section at a time.

When I filmed this video, I was still very new to DP... I don't remember if I had any special pens at that time :) But it doesn't really matter what pen you have as long as you're comfortable using it.

I started using the bigger ones from diamond art club & it was easier for me because I have severe neuropathy from septicemia in hands & feet that’s what led me to DAC 1st for therapy & I found an addiction to diamond painting.... I have found that I’m only one of a lot of people who do it because they have their troubles too... it’s been a God send

You can buy kits for $5-$10 or larger ones from Amazon that come with extra wax, trays both large and small, extra bags, labels, various size places including 4 and 10, lighted drill pen, glue, and tweezers. The kit I bought has a small carry box to put all the tools in. I think i bought a slightly larger kit and it came with a drill/ diamond organizer boxes. If i can find the item number I will share!

For some reason my multi placer is flat, it doesn’t have a little hole where u put the wax in. It’s clear and it’s a nine placer. I have no idea what to do, please help

How do you get so many of your drills to line up? When I shake my pan I get less than half as many as you.

Try holding the tray a little differently, sometimes that can help.

I find that having a nice amount in there is better. I also shake my funnel tray BY the funnel and shake and almost EVERY diamond lines up for me! I had SOO much trouble with my little green boat tray I stopped using it.

I don't know, by the time you pick up the right amount of wax with the pen, level it out with your nail, "rock back and forth", fix the whole line with single placer, isn't it much easier and quicker to use a single placer in the first place and simply to place the "diamonds" in checker pattern and then simply to fill the space between them with the rest of the "diamonds" without even trying to be "straight", because you already prepared the working space with this particular pattern... And this will work not only for the big canvas piece of the same color, but also for "confetti " areas...

Ive found 1 the more it holds the less it wants to hold max diamonds. One or two wont stick. 2 the more it holds the more "off"it gets as you travel. I stick to my 3 and 4 placers. My 6 and 9 are unreliable.

I have this SAME problem! Your wax is probably too cold. Pardon me for being a bit crass.. but I have to stick my wax under a breast while I get everything out to start. Lol. It sounds silly.. but it works. You could always just hold it between your hands for a few. Your body heat is enough

@@Hellnogizmoits not cold at least not by itself. It was either those pens (the tip didnt like to stick) or the wax being on its 3+rd picture. It wasnt untill my third pic that i got a pair of tweezers to reliably remove all the wax before that i just dipped it in again every 20-45. Mins depending on how busy i was outside of the diamond painting. The non-sticky ness went away when i hanged the block of wax completely but nothing has changed about how i store it. FYI i keep my paintings in my car and do them as i wait for my daughters skating or in the library while i wait for her release from school. I got my first square diamonds, and double sided sticky tape picture this week so we will see how that goes.
