In this video I'll show you how to use PdaNet on any Linux distro.
===Software Setup===
Distro: Manjaro Linux
Kernel: 5.15-57-2-MANJARO
WM: i3-gaps
Editor: Neovim/NVchad
===Hardware Setup===
CPU: Intel i7-10750H
GPU: Intel UHD Integrated Graphics/NVIDIA 1660ti
RAM: 32GB
Audio: PreSonus AudioBox USB

This works very well for me. There were issues with the Brave browser though, but I know it is the problem of Ubuntu 20.04. Not the first time, so I will simply use Firefox instead. Appreciate the effort and clear guide. P.S. For those, who have troubles running the last command, instead of nvim enter nano. That should do pretty much the same.

Thanks man, real helpful for me. Gotta use PDANet because the carrier's unlimited data wouldn't allow normal Hotspot mode. Which is just weird, but yeah.

It's all about the money...they just want you to pay more for hotspot

Does it work with USB tethering though, or for you need a wifi adapter compatible with Linux

try entering desktop mode and in there open terminal and enter the commands he showed

@@SteelPansRock i took a break on trying but sadly....rog ally. A rog ally will tether to a phone. Its the competitor to steam deck but that's another chunk of money. Not the best solution price wise. I need to download pdanet to the steam deck and go from there. If i get it working, I'll let you all know.
