Күн бұрынthe gaps in the pike causes them to suck i think so you should put a second line to make sure there are no gaps
place them in between other infantry that are not pikes
you can layer them up to 5 or more idk

Pikes in Medieval 2 are a far cry from the OP predecessors from Rome 1. If Phalangites were allowed to properly form up in RTW and their flanks secured, they were godly. I was so used to how OP they were in that game that I was shocked in how reigned in they were with Medieval 2.

It also works in a single formation, with units side by side, 7-8 rows deep. But they suffer more casualties then

I win battles with less men than the enemy with pikes,but sometimes i don't notice they have bows so they totally destroy me

if the enemy shoves missile units charge them with cavalry at the sides if the missile units are at front

in Rome2 I would literally expose my city and wage war on the other side of the continent with just 2-4 pike units. Just put them where troops go in, such as tower exits and gates, and their archers are too dumb to get on the walls and fire from there.
