Tuning your PostgreSQL server plays an important role in making sure you get the most out of your server resources, and running with default parameters is not always enough. Using the PostgreSQL server configuration file postgresql.conf, we can tune the right area and make the most out of the server resources. The postgresql.conf file tuning parameters are classified into different categories including database connections, memory, optimizers, and logging.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- A basic understanding of postgresql.conf
- The categories and parameters of postgresql.conf
- How to adjust parameters
- Expert tuning recommendations

what the guy on the bottom told was right, if tuning was fully automatic and if we want, we can change it ourselves but if we dont, we should have an option to make it fully automatic so it would tune itself according to cirucumstances of the database. if that exist, omg postgres would literally skyrocket. Not everyone is crazy to actually deal with these paramters a lot. It takes a lot of time to do it manually and seeing if its better or not.

it can be done by associating with powerful APM tools. Heap memory became biggest issue for every database. if we can clear the unwanted objects and manage heap memory efficiently the process will automatically become automatic. unwanted(useful but not in the process we are using right now) data runs on database hardware veins every time
