I’m loving how we are supporting each other as groomers. We never stop learning and KZfaq has opened up a pathway for access to so much education 👏🏻👏🏻 I live in a regional area of Australia and I am working on building relationships with other groomers 🐾🐾 Kitty/ yourself Amy 😊/Mary-Beth/Jun just to name a few are the new voice for our industry. @@TransgroomTV I have a question about wide vs standard width blades and combs. Most of my clients are small dogs, cavapoos and maltese, and toy poodles, but I jump then to Golden-doodle(groodle), labradoodle and standard poodles. I am thinking of upgrading my snap-ons, but am hesitant to choose wide if I mostly have small dogs. I am only starting out and only have a few dogs per week working from home, so I don't have a big budget, so want to buy what will be most useful. I have an Andis clipper that I am very happy with, so I'm glad that I can use universal blades. So, do you think that I should upgrade to the wide system if most of my clients are small/toy sized dogs?

Lovely to help you further . we use the Swirl or the curved comb on every body part that must to be scissored round, like the feet, the head , depending of course on what's comfortable is for you . Some groomers even use it on straight parts .. From the moment you have used it, you always want to work with it .

Such a pretty girl! Thank you for the demo :) I've heard that you can't go against the grain on curly hair - i.e. on poodles - is this the case (with and without the combs)?

You need to go against when it’s about breed cut. I mean shaved areas in continental. Even the face. That’s a myth! 😊☀️

It's not curly anymore after the bath and blowout (the prep). So I don't see why not tbh

Ik heb juist gehoord dat als je tegen scheert dat het de lengte wordt van de opzetkam. Dus 22 mm wordt ook echt 22 mm.

Hoi Merel, dank je wel voor jouw berichtje. Tegen de haar richting in scheren, of het nu met een opzetkam of scheerkop is , zal het altijd korter zijn. Op moment dat je tegen de haarinrichting scheert ontmoeten de haren 'vroeger' de opzetkam . Bij een opzetkam van 2 mm. zal deze 20,30mm zijn. We zullen nooit beweren dat dit de enige echte waarheid is. we gaan van onze eigen opinie uit en onze eigen opgemeten en onderbouwde analyse . Zolang het de hond maar goed staat , toch :-) Vele groetjes Kitty
