All these questions have become exceptionally relevant in the last weeks.
In this video, I will show you the most up-to-date method for using Automatiс1111 for free. Since Google Colab has blocked almost all possible ways to run Stable Diffusion (Automatic1111, ComfyUI, SwarmUI, etc), and Kaggle is following suit (my notebook with Automatic1111 still works), I suggest using lightning.ai , a free and even more convenient alternative! Plus, you'll have much more powerful gpu the latest tesla l4 instead of T4 from Google Colab.
Please watch the video to the end and follow the instructions precisely to avoid any errors during setup and while using the notebook.

Of course, technically, you can even fine-tune SDXL without training the text encoder with L4, which has 24 GB of VRAM. I'm probably going to make a video about it
