Welcome back to my English lessons! In this advanced English lesson, I'm going to talk to you about time words in English. So these are expressions that we use when talking about time in English.
I go through each of them and then I'll give you some examples and hopefully you'll be able to understand exactly what they mean because I know they cause some people a few problems.

Thank you very much for the class. I just want to ask one question. Can we use ,, ago,, in Past Perfect tense? As you gave the example..,, I had met.... ago"

"The last time I met Paul, he had told me that.." Is that correct using of perfect tense with time reference? Or is it not considered as time reference? Thank you.

"The last time I met Paul, he had told me that..." is an example of using the past perfect tense with a time reference. In this case, "the last time" serves as the time reference. This construction is correct, and it is a common way to talk about a past event that happened before another past event.

@@LearnEnglishwithHarry But there is no another past event before which Paul told me.. He told me during the event of meeting him.. hmm

still = තවමත් still = තවදුරටත් already = දැනටමත් yet = තවමත් (නෑ ) yet ? = දැනටමත්? before = මීට කළින් / ඔට කලින් ago = ( අවුරැදු ) ගණනාවකට කලින්
