When your system is operating normally, spend some time figuring out the pressure drop across each component in your system. Then later on when a fault occurs, you can use these known values to figure out where fluid is flowing, and where it's not.

it isn't possible for the flow to go for both branches? What will be the pressure then, that is something isn't clear.
