PSA: bike racks do not fit mountain bikes with tires 29x2.6, one of the most common modern mountain bike tire size nowadays.

My medium frame bike with 29 x 2.5 mtb tires didn't fit as well.

@@Timotelli The problem with Translink is not just that the racks don't support this type of bike. It's that their info on their web site is wrong, they've been notified of it multiple times, and they do nothing. They 1) do not acknowledge that they've been told, and 2) do not remove wrong information. It's very low cost to just fix this web page to have the correct info, but the people at Translink just don't care.

Some busses only allow skinny bike wheels to fit on the bus rack.What's the names of the bus racks that can fit fat tire bikes and skinny bike wheels.But how can I put a fat tire bike on the bus if it don't fit.It should be something that can tie it down secure ?

I tried, doesn’t fit mountain bikes with 29” wheels… the arm couldn’t reach out around the 29” front wheel…

lol as I search this video the bus comes, as the ad gets done playing and then I figured I’d just try it out myself without help and the driver says only two bikes maximum.. rip

Can you put a battery assist bike on the rack after removing the battery and panniers?

Why would you need to remove the battery

@@andreiareta because e-bikes are heavy particularly so with the battery mounted. I wondered if the bike racks have max weight capacity.
