Can this tool be used without adding water in the tank? Like a regular iron flat? I know they usec to make steampod 20 years ago and stopped at some point because water /steam was damaging the hair.

hi Julissa. is the steampod your favorite? do you like it better that the GHD Platinum + ? I got the GHD after your reviewed GHD platinum + vs Dyson Corrale. I do love the GHD platinum +. but I don't use often since I have extra long hair with very fine strands. but when I go for the sleek look, definitely that is my go to. I worry about breakage. I wish you would compare Ghd platinum plus vs L'oreal steampod>
