My teacher draw this formula strangely, so when I went through the notes he made the square root look like a fraction, I had no idea the a(2) went under ALL the numbers. You literally saved me, thank you!

Highest exponent is first. X^2 is always first, x variable is next and number without a variable is last.

the problem is that all these examples end with easy arithmetic... When im taking my quizzes the professors looks for stuff like 4+-4(sq)5/2 the hardest shit
