Tips and tricks beginners guide to use the Garmin 62CV Fish Finder/Plotter
Dallas is a Regional Trainer from Garmin and runs through the basics showing how simple the unit is to use.
The Garmin 62CV comes factory fitted with the GT15 in-hull chirp transducer, factory fitted on the 2019/2020/2021 Sea-Doo FISH PRO and is also available to be retro fitted on the Sea-Doo GTX/RXT and GTi platforms.

On the sea doo trophy 2022 it comes with a farming 7 inch navigation system CAN I change the stock 7 inch gram in to the bigger 9 inch model would it fit and sit right ? 🙏😀

Hi I have a 2020 Seadoo fish pro . 2 things how do you set the transponder to 15 . Because mine was set to 20 in Australia. And how do you keep the Garmin on when the ski is off , it only stays on fo a couple of minutes. Thanks .. 😃👍🇦🇺🇺🇸

Hi, it’s definitely worth selecting GT15, in the Garmin settings under Transducer it will allow you to scroll through and select GT15, call Garmin support in Aus if having difficulty or you don’t have your owners manual. If you leave your lanyard connected, the sounder should still stay on once the engine is shut off. Otherwise ti leave the sounder on your dealer could bypass the accessories circuit to an auxiliary battery supply.

I have a fish pro 2021. Can I change out the display screen to 73 cv (touch screen) without changing the transducer? And if I would like to change the transducer, where can I find it? And does it use the same wires? Thank you

Yes you can change the Garmin to the 7” version, you will need to change the wiring though as the plugs are 8 pin, instead of 4. Providing you purchase a Garmin that is compatible with the existing transducer, you will only have to get a wiring adapter.

That video was very useful thanks. Why can I only see the bottom 30ft or so of my sounder when I'm in 150 ft of water, how do I change it to see the whole lot? Cheers.

If you have the Garmin 62CV it should pick up at least 150 ft. Either your transducer is not performing correctly or you should do a factory reset on the Garmin unit in case you have incorrectly adjusted a setting.

I just received my new Seadoo Sport but my Garmin, when selecting Sonar, says that the transducer is disconnected. I have removed the unit and plugged in again but same message. Not sure what else to try?

Some have had the plug on the back of the panel not connected properly or the plug installed up side down. It would be best to take the unit back to your Sea-Doo dealer to check.

@@jetskifishing Yes, I just got a Fish Pro last summer and loving it. I'm not very familiar with Fish Finders or Transducers. So I was curious if it was possible to get Live View on it.

The 2022 Seadoo Switch I ordered says the Garmin GPS 7 inch touchscreen comes standard. Is the depth finder and fish finder also on there or do I have to add that to it, thanks!

I personally haven’t used a Switch yet, I’m expecting if it has the 72SV Garmin, it will include Navigation and the depth sounder.

@@jeffreycrowe6250 wow expensive for that lower end unit. I am very surprised it didn't come with a depth reader?? ! It's my neighbors new family play boat. I am an avid angler teaching a new boater and the 21ft 230hp Switch is sweet for family outings but the fishing rig up will be tricky. Like where to mount transducer, trolling motor, TM batteries, rod holders, etc.

I have a 2021 GTX 170. will this unit give water temperature ?

Only if the transducer is installed externally. The FISH PRO has water temperature in the factory gauge cluster menu, you may also have that feature on your GTX

Waypoints are easy, just use the Mark button. Tracks should automatically be tracking your route…

Can this fish finder see your line/bait on the screen when targeting fish?

On the standard settings you should be able to view your bait sinking through the water column.

Why when I turn on my fish finder on my 2022 it's stays lit for about 2 minutes then turns dark what is the issue with it

It has a dark mode for early morning brightness. Either you have it switched on or could need resetting Set to factory defaults settings to diagnose

Can you mark your location, say you want to return to a spot you fished in the past.

Sure can, I use that feature all the time. There is a button that says Mark, just push it once and it marks the location with an icon of your choice on the display.

This model is the Garmin 62CV, it comes complete with the Sea-Doo FISH PRO, factory fitted. You can purchase it from Garmin retailers if it is what you are after👍

Hi, what are you referring to, is it that you are wanting to read depth in metres instead of feet? If so you need to go to the menu, units settings…

hey man i have a seadoo fish pro 2019, but the gps screen is missing, Id like to buy one but there are 2 garmin 62cv, one thats 500$ and one thats 870$, would they both work?

The 62CV is what you should have, are you sure the more expensive version isn’t the 62SV?
