With volume, users of this indicator don’t focus on breakouts. They wait for price to pull back to a price of high volume or what is called a poc. Or you can look at it like this if you want to use breakouts, you see a breakout, but wait for price to return to the start of the breakout and buy or sell from that point if there was volume there. Cos to be honest breakouts are dangerous and can be misleading though highly profitable. So it’s best to wait and if price returns you buy or sell. You need to add back testing and confirmation with other time frames, the general trend of the market and maybe mfi or any oscillator

not necessarily, volume peaks if followed by a down move indicate more selling at that price point (resistance), while volume peaks followed by an up move indicate more buying (support). If nothing happens on huge volume then theres a transitory (lol) stalemate

try the 'poor man's volume profile' its free and does the same thing (aswell as 'impluse levels' & 'power law correlation'), I use it to enter credit spreads on 0DTE SPX 10-5 minutes (1 minute chart) before the market bell

@@GB-kl2pd Sure, but this only works best (as far as I've tired) before major macro news that could move market direction. Meaning when volatility is very high, for example, right before an FOMC meeting about rate hikes or cuts, you would (idealy) want the price to hover somewhere near the VP hot spots (a price range where theres the most amount of volume), the day that the announcement is due is where volatility reverts down, so lets say its a sunday that the rate cut or hike is revealed, you would on friday, 45-5 to minutes before market close enter a 20-ish delta credit spread (ONLY risk 5% of your buying power!), and then hope for the best 😂🤞🏼 I legit made 700$ with 3 trades but I was risking 80% of my buying power (stupid f*cking move), I went from $4200-ish portfolio to $4900-ish, if you have under 100.000$ to trade Murphy's law is gonna destroy your portfolio, 0DTE is worth the risk if you can afford to play with 5000$ daily. And at age 23 45DTE 15-ish delta credit spreads (laddering strategy 'search optionsalpha') is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more cormfortable and sound then the stressfull and increadibly risky 0DTE trades. Remember trading small and regularly is better than trading big and sometimes.

I'm thinking about the same thing. I try to find out the top with using Fibonacci tools and as you mentioned, low volume zones.

But let’s assume this: You can predict, where price action is going to confirm the reversal. Just by seeing beforehand where the most volume was traded. (Thus most likely big positions and whales defending their positions). So if you know where to look before and then act upon price action - win win!

They might hide there big positions with iceberg orders and so on, but volume doesn’t lie - it can’t be manipulated. (Most manipulation happens in low volume anyways)

Volume profiles are best used as entry/exit points that's really it. Nothing beats price action in the moment.

Blue lines are the total buying volume on the specific price and yellow lines are the total selling volume at the same specific price.

goto a site called gocharting.com they have similar indicators to trading view but you currently dont have to pay (including this indicator for free) plus it has access to some unique data too which you can work into your method, well worth checking out
