The best "video" about the use of "of". I am not a native. But, this lesson makes me to understand its "use" in the lots of expressions. However, sometimes I was confused when I use the preposition "of". I am thanked for this "post". Great job, Teacher Wess!!!!

I was born in Chicago but when I was 11, I moved from US with my family firstly to Brazil after to Paraguay and finally to Brazil again. I speak Portuguese and Spanish fluently but my english is not that fine, but I've been working hard on it and your vids are helping me so much

I happen to find this video on the use “of- OF!” Yet being ole school taught and frequently corrected about use of descriptive words by my ELA teachers, which is so embedded in my brain that I am subconscious of anything I say! Thanks for being so generous with your time and kindness to remind me of the simplicity of the use of the common possessive preposition “of”!

Hi Wes...Great lesson..I have a question We say bar of soap but not soap bar..we do say soap bubbles However we don't say cable of electricity..we say electricity cable...Why? In Mexican Spanish they always say something de something...so they say cable de electricidad...

Why? In German it's bekommen, holen or kriegen but, if your native language is English you spend 2 years trying to get comfortable with bekommen and still have not gotten used to a verb that looks like it means 'to become.' I made a mistake with it already.

Speaking of which, Do you know how hate looks like Wes? like this =>>>> ⚡️of ⚡️ I know and also love clarifying the thing about ⚡️of ⚡️ First thing first I hate not capable of using of on the account of my language. We do not use any prepositions ın Turkish somehow or an other. When I come across any of them I am prone to think twice therefore Plenty of mistakes re bount to happen I feel as If I don't really seem to be immune to use those things. I'm satisfied of this lesson and of knowing that the 12 of November is a very important day!! Wouldn't you make a video about the other ways to mean "of" ("de"in French). I think of "a novel by Xx" for instance. It seems to me that instead of "of" people use the possessive form (Elisa's book for instance) even with things. I learned when I was young that the possessive form has to be used only for persons (or familiar animals). 220426 glé (Is "satisfied of" right in my first sentence ?)
