In external diameter u took i tink it was six because that 5 vsd doesnt exectly coincide with msd

Sir,in measuring the depth,5th and 7th graduation was also matching with MS,why you took VSR=7,why not 5?

I agree, I had the same observation. My guess is that there is some parallax issue between observing the caliper in person, and observing it on the video. I got that more than once in this video.

Thank you so much for your query. While observing the diameter of an object, if the zero of the main scale coincide with the zero of the vernier scale, take vs reading as zero. So observed diameter = msr +( lc x vsr) = msr + 0 = msr. Hope this will help. Best regards

While measuring the diameter of the screw, the Vernier scale Division is 7, so vernier scale reading will be 7×0.01=0.07cm and the diameter of the screw will be 2.47cm You took wrong measurements may be because of parallax error. But it's a good video
