Looking for some hopefully not so rubbish art?! 🤣 Are you Gelli printing at the moment? Everyone seems to be gel and Gelli printing, I don't know if there is a challenge going on at the moment or something, but anyway I have a playlist of videos to help you if you are printing: bit.ly/2wuOw1U

It’s useful when people are honest because it makes us the viewer realise that not every piece we try to produce will be perfect which is the illusion KZfaqrs and Pinterest try to convey

Totally! It can be frustrating when all you see is lovely pieces but all you are doing is rubbish ones 🤣

I love that you show things that you don't like and did not work out for you. It helps so much because all you see is the good and it makes you think that it always works for them. It is hard to not let what others say or how many likes you get if you share. But I am working on that and your video helped me a lot!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

I liked this piece very much! Not your usual colours, something different, dark green included. It gave me vintage map vibes.

Thank you so much for this!!!! I happen to agree on the geometric lines and the dark green,eh. I wish more artists would talk about this and show the ugly side of their art. I think it would allow us to be less critical of ourselves. Thank you again!

Throughout the years, I have realized that even if I don't like a whole page/artwork, I might like it much more if I cut it into pieces and use them for another project (collage, homemade envelopes, bookmarks...) I very rarely throw things in the trash even if I find them ridiculously awful. I often find things that I have created years ago and absolutely hated at the time, and later on realized that it was actually pretty awesome 😂😂😂 Thanks for sharing Kim! Always so inspiring ♡♡♡ X.O

You are so right! There is always something to like in the pieces that don't work. Although I admit I have covered some up completely! But then the underlying work has given it a whole new texture so still something positive came from it! Thank you Nathalie, hope you have a nice weekend!

It's very brave of you to share what you don't like! In this Pinterest-worthy world, we need to remember that we aren't done-for if we don't like our latest art project.

Well... I just recycle it and use for or with something else. Always works in one way or the other. Unless it is a canvas board with paint was used with a palette knife... that is difficult to paint over.... but always worth a try.
