I love your frame for the bottom. Good ideas - Do you recommend using treated wood for the frame and plywood? what thinkness plywood?

I believe I spent $400 for the boat and trailer. I immediately resealed every seam inside and out and fixed any rivets. I needed to rewire the trailer as well but that was easy and cheap

Nice. Do you have finished boat? Also - how do you like V hull boat compare to flatbottom? Does it wobble a lot?

+Acytoh Hey, the boat pretty much is the same still. Surprisingly, the vhull does not wobble as much as people say. the deck i built really makes the boat much more stable to walk around as it distributes the weight much better. With 2 people, 4 batteries, and full fishing load outs the boat still sits high enough off the water to be safe.

Did you drill through the boat to connect the frame for the floor? Or are you just relying on gravity?

Just relying on gravity. I wanted the deck to be modular. So far it has worked perfectly.

no sagging. and the boat stays outside year round

Thanks! I didnt attach it to the boat. Just laid it in there and clean cuts will let the wood sit nicely in the boat. The weight keeps it all in place.

I rested the board on the ribs and on the deeper ends of the hull I put aluminum tubing and it was quite a bit lighter then the 2x2.

I did aluminum tubing too. Worked out nice, tryn to figure out how to quiet the hollow noise

Why is the rear seat on the left you control a tiller steer with your left hand that's how we know who is experienced vs a noob with a boat

Seat wasn't bolted down. As you can see the back end was not covered with carpet yet. Seat was just sitting there...

Rum Runner S2K true as usual I'm took quick to talk than look I got a v hull as well I plan on converting its a 1970 starcraft sea scamp 14ft I just bought a new 25hp merc for this year can't wait to get started soon as it warms up a little

even with the max 25hp motor , it will probally not plane off with one adult , much less 2 men , i guess if you idle to your fishing point your cool , if you want a bigger boat buy one , you ruined that one for normal practical useage

I built it for how I use it. Small lakes and ponds in my area. I have a larger boat for larger bodies of water.
