Thanks for the video. Just one question: Why is it bad if area lines are glued together? Like for example that you have a forest area line glued to a agricultural area, simply because they're right next to each other.

Each item in OSM should have separate perimeter and be independent from one another. They can evolve over time and mappers want to be able to track each item and segregate one from another. It is particularly important to not glue buildings together. For example: You want to be able to clearly identify a building or road destroyed during an earthquake, also Roads should not be glued to buildings , clear marked roads is important for direction finding with the OSMAND App.

One problem with an agricultural area glued to a forest or a road is that this makes it hard to add additional data later on, maybe there is a ditch in between that you don't see from areal imagery.

I do not find HOT-Validate option in my JOSM preferences. would you mind helping me.
