This video was so good. Not sure how I missed this one, but you've talked about MyDesigns so many times and demo'd it with such precision that I just signed up (using your link and code) and can't wait to use it. What a great time saving tool. I notice that you really provide videos about tools that you use and I can tell that you do a lot of sourcing. I trust your posts and appreciate your willingness to teach and share this information with us newbies. Question: I noticed that you chose not to upscale before removing background and vectorizing. In previous videos, you've mentioned upscaling prior to removing the background in programs such as Illustrator, or using ai, so I was wondering if you've changed your flow when using My Designs... Do you upscale in MJ and work with their upscaled version when you use My Designs By the way, the prompts you provide are so damn helpful. The fonts too. Your entire damn channel is a wealth or information and I share it often watch your videos multiple times. Good to see some humble gents doing their POD thing, helping others level up.

Great looks nice "myDesign", but one question please about the step turning SVG to PNG... When I do center the design in the frame. Is it important to fit the lines perfect or should the design keep a little bit space to the frame? Would this change the dimensions, angles or something? Or is the design only a little bit smaller? Background is transparent so this would be no problem isnt it? Put the design perfect fitting line on line or like "ever I want"? Thank you Philip, greetings Sven

Hi, thanks for doing these tutorials. How do you proceed to delete backgound and contour area on stickers? I tried removing the contour of a sticker that the background was already removed and it put it back

Definitely! I have tried the illustrator function and the results are usually quite bad compared to this tool

Thanks so much for this video Philip Could I ask you if you think it is necessary to vectorize text based designs for POD. Mine are coming out of Canva just under a MB and the high resolution in Pixelmator doesn't seem to work with them. Thank you x

vectorizing is more for ai designs. If you create them in Canva at the right dimensions you should be fine

PPI is relevant only for raster graphics like images, while vector graphics maintain their quality regardless of the output resolution. Vectors are defined by mathematical equations rather than a grid of pixels.

Please can I ask a couple of questions! After downloading the AI images, do I need to upscale the size and dpi first before vectorizing them? When they download as a PNG is in 330 ppi if I'm not mistaken... and if so, do I need to change them to 300 dpi before using? Sorry, slightly confused. Thought I'd ask you before I start doing the process for all my images. The vectorizer is amazing quality! Thanks in advance Philip!

You don't have to upscale or enhance dpi first. Vectorizing is like a cheat code it takes care of dpi and quality.

Is it necessary to upscale midjourney photos in MyDesign? Or is vectorizing enough at that point because you can scale essentially unlimited right?

Vectorizing is enough yeah. Photographic images do look better upscaled though. vectorizers are best for digital art, more flat cartoon like

@@PhilipAnders both MyDesign & Kittl remove backgrounds differently, I also made the mistake of not putting white backgrounds on my images, but with kittl, if you’re removing the backgrounds from these same images JPEG or whatever format you get from MJ, kittl removes the backgrounds almost perfectly. I think I may have to purchase PS and just try and crop out the images myself.

Help lol questions on the canvas are on my design website. When i ente canva size for W & H i cannot enter 9.3 x 8.2 which is for tumblers designs. I coverted it to pixels, but if i put something on W, it changes the H am soo confused. Please help, thank you

Open any PNG file that you've done, set the BG to black and zoom in on the edges. :)

So here's a question as it relates to digital products. If I want to list these items in one listing, would I still have to download it all as a zip? Or could I still do everything in bulk to upload? That step is what I'm not understanding. EDITED TO ADD: By one listing, I'm meaning the same photo with the JPG, SVG, etc, in one listing of the same photo. I guess I'm not really understanding the step to download a zip file when, instead, I want to use MyDesigns to them list them.

Well... it seems every time I watch this video I pick up another thing I should have done. I uploaded a ton of files but stopped at SVG and couldn't upload to CANVA. Actually what I should have done is just a few files and taken the steps all the way to CANVA to see if I did it correctly. Doh!!! I think I've got it now. 1. Add folders and Upload files to them. 2. Select 24 at a time to make into vectors 3. Remove the background if you want if you are a paid member 4. Select 24 files, Place one into "canvas" set at 4500x5400 for most designs. Choose input to SVG. Set output slot to 4500x5400 or PNG. 5. Align the file as you wish 6. Click "Synch" 7. Click "Apply" 8. Continue with the next 24 files... Just make sure the ones we synch are similar dimensions. Also we only get 2GB as free members so we need to delete folders eventually.

@@Kevin-rf9sx It is. After you've upscaled the image you can open it in Canvas set at 4500x5400 pixels. Then adjust the size and save as PNG. Pretty much as Philip said.

With MyDesigns yes. There are free ways for removing BG onr at a time. I made a video about it a while back

The bad part ist that there is no correction method when the program failed to remove background properly.

Canva pro doesn't have it either, the 500pixel max crappy remove. BG does let u but it's 500×500 so frustrating! With all this brilliant ai stuff you'd think these things would be a bit easier by now...

was happy about vectorize on My Design - unfortunately changing gradient colors to vectors is total disaster, its not handling that task.
