Great tutorial Ron. I was asked to repair a mural. I am a visual artist but have never done a mural, other than painting stripes. Our friend Donna suggested to contact you. So I found this video. You probably don't remember, but we actually met a couple of years ago in a bar in Frederick. Anyway thanks for this great video. I now have a better idea on how to tackle and price the project.

Thanks Ronald for these great videos! I completed my first wall application recently, it was Marmorino Carrara in Nile blue color. Mistakes were made but I sure learned a lot along the way. You definitely should consider using a higher definition camera if you can because not a lot of detail is captured, but the explanations are worth it regardless.

Wicked 🙏💪👊🔥 nice one for doing this video Bro. I'm going from boards to walls now. But want to know more about burnishing/ drying time, and when exactly to hit it. The making love stage as u say 👏🙏🔥👍

I leaned it by watching the color saturation as it dries. darker, damp areas need to be treated with a lot more care and left alone to dry more or you risk peeling. I could also feel resistance like Ronald mentioned in another video when hitting the damp areas vs the drier ones at the polishing stage where the trowel glides far more easily. I also tried applying my final coat while the previous coat was still damp (not wet) and found it greatly increased the time I had before I needed to start polishing due to the extra moisture, These were my experiences from my first attempt at wall application. hope it helps.

Can this be applied over primer or does it have to be over the plaster?

Hey Ron! For application of marmorino after microprimer, do you recommend sand in between like here you did with grasello? Thx
@RonaldLayman
@RonaldLayman 3 жыл бұрын
You do not need to sand the nick priner for Marmorino, it’s better to not sand in this case

Oddball question, and I know this isn't your field but I'm just gonna ask; would this material suit a theater or music studio ACOUSTICALLY? Seems it could cause a lot of noisy high frequency reflections, and thereby requiring more expense in room correction for the audio. Otherwise, I think this theater is gonna be a glorious LOOKING theater and I salute you for your work maestro! 👍

Hi yes we’ve been creating more in-depth videos that we’re gonna start putting out shortly we had to move the studio so things have been a little chaotic and it’s incredibly difficult to move such a large place during Covid after the business and we have the teaching component as well as a contracting where we actually go out and do the work for clients and later this spring early summer will be launching my own product line
