I mean let's be honest, this spares your hair from going through the ringer and the African American community knew it all along. So if you feel like "changing it", which if you're a woman ... I've noticed that we're into that looooool, for like a couple of days and trying out a new funky color or wear it straight if it's cury (Or the opposite)... This is the best way to go about it. Not by damaging our own hair.

Hot combs are used for more than just wigs and are a staple in the black community when it comes to straightening our hair. It became a technique black women use on wigs bc it gets flyaways and gets the bone straight look.

Lol its always so trippy to me to see non-black people using hot combs now. I remember when I was a kid and casually told my (non-black) friends how my mom straightened my hair and they were shocked and scared about the fact that my mom heated up a cast iron comb on the stove and put it through my hair xD But I guess as wigs get more popular people are using them for multiple purposes now

My poor mom had her hair fried 4 months ago and she had spent so many years growing it to her mid back and we've slowly had to chop her hair. I was just telling her I'll learn how to apply wigs so she'll feel more comfortable and I see this vid got posted! Lol thank you Sarah!!!

Thank you!! (Although technically Sacheu is a poc as well, but I get your point) But do you have any who do recommendations (/do they account for) lighter skin tones or specifically that transparent lace etc..? And how to *find* those with light scalp colors/laces..? I’m like a REAL beginner so 😅

Soul ASMR you are are going to have to ask hd lace because it’s easier to tint lace than it to lighten it. and bc your a beginner that’s be your best option because most lace has a brownish tint to it.

Because it’s like, even though I totally acknowledge and understand that & why black women should be leading the way in this front, I *also* know *most* of that content is not geared towards lighter complexions. So it does help and would be really great if those with more experience could teach those of us with white ass scalps too 😂 (Which is why I really appreciate creators like Sacheu breaking some things down for us.) And I’m sure there ARE! I’m just also not sure how in the world to find them, and my KZfaq algorithm doesn’t cooperate, hence me asking ♥️ Cause I avoided wigs entirely for YEARS because I was *nottttt* trying to be or about to be associated as a Kylie klone - *BUT* , as I’ve gotten older, my hair has thinned from stress and chronic illness :/ it’s quarantine and I’m too high risk to get my hair done :/ , before that I got betrayed by a stylist who *fried* my thin hair when I was trying to go silver - and man, I haven’t taken a selfie in like a YEAR or more, I really just :/ want to pop something on and feel cute again :/// and not look a whole fool

This is the best wig tutorial video I have watched. You kept it simple and focused on the topic. The blonde looks really good on you. I have watched other videos but they seemed more complicated because they were long and drawn out unnecessarily. I also think that it's easier for non black females to understand the wig installation when someone whose skin tone is closer to their own is teaching how to install the wig. Hair types are different so it's just easier to understand when it's someone I can relate to.

Yesss to the 2 wig caps method! I always use two wig caps when wearing our companies wigs for videos because its just makes everything so flat and secure!!

Wow, this is pro the most easiest to understand wig application! Im half Black and Asian so I have long, thick wavy hair so I was confused why wigs looked weird? It was because it was bulky and I didn’t lay my hair down properly. This is seriously the most comprehensive tutorial. Cool, I can try this again lol

I hope it worked out for you. I have a small forehead so I have been having trouble. I need to buy a better quality wig so that I can truly assess and figure out what works for me without my forehead looking like it collides with my eyebrows or that my hairline starts curving over my head which is definitely NOT a good look lol

How long can you wear this wig for? Do you need to keep gluing the ends down? Can you wear your hair in a bun with a wig? Do you sleep in it etc? I've never worn a wig but am considering it as a protective style. You look beautiful !

This was so informative. I've been dying to experiment with wigs but was embarrassed to ask. I have some questions. If you have long hair but braids also dont work for me. Will I still be able to hide my ponytail without it being bulky? Any tips? Also is there a way to have the wig be flat but not pull your eyes too much? My face/skin is sensitive and I cant even wear a tight ponytail.

That looks amazing really suites you i watched this video as ive never worn a wig before just hair pieces that clip in & have had glue extentions in the past which messed up my hair from then really . I recently went back to short hair but fill as if its to short now & im finding it hard to style it now it's alot shorter so i fancied the thought of trying a wig it all looks like alot of messing around though especialy if your'e not sure what youre doing or used to putting on a full head wig . I also don't like the thought of useing any hair glue again although i know it has to be put on firm to hold it on , is there no other easier way to apply a wig lol still youres really looked nice & realistic .

I would recommend gluing the wig/lace before cutting the lace. It give a more precise cut, makes sure you're not cutting off too much or too little, and makes the lace stay flat without rolling or riding up.

I have also been low key wanting to try wigs I have thin fine hair my whole life . And watching videos on wig installs and how to remove but at the same time how do You care for it do you shower every day and condition it and wash it every few days ? I’m learning before I try one. How do you wash your hair or wig and take care of it like normal hair or no? This will be my first time trying a wig and I think I will love it because my hair is so fine and thin I think a wig not so thick would look good and make me feel more confident. I just need help lol

One question, do I really need to put glue? How you remove the wig if is glued to your head? I guess is a gentle glue with the skin
