It’s true that sometimes brutal honesty is necessary and I must admit that in moments of low self worth I tend to dress more provocatively. HOWEVER I don’t think this video was executed properly as I can fully understand why people would be offended by some things said or implied (like women who don’t dress modestly are “cheap” and “have low self worth”). To anyone offended by the video: please note that Islam is a beautiful religion but no human is perfect so please forgive Nouman Ali Khan and the makers of this video for coming off as disrespectful and judgemental. Of course only God knows their intentions but I imagine they were just trying to help. Peace be upon you and them :)

I've always loved Hijab ever since i was a kid. I've seen how beautiful if was and how it gives the woman who wears it modesty and respect. No man dared to look at my mother in a perverted way and always treated her well. Now that I'm older (well, I'm not that old I'm 15 haha) I've worn the hijab and I've gained much more respect than before. when i wasn't wearing the hijab, my male classmates used to always give me those dirty looks of theirs.. but now thankfully not one male has looked at me in that perverted way like before. Hijab is such a blessing and it is a beautiful thing in our life.

SubhanAllah, I had struggled with this before too. Lot of it was ignorance as I was the first one starting hijab in my family. I used to try to make it fashionable, wear fitted clothes with it etc. I look back now and giggle at how silly I was 😊☺️. But alhumdulillah! All praise is to the Lord of the worlds, He guided me to the right path. My hijab has improved so much to the point where I even wear niqab now when I never ever thought I would. Even my attitude, my speech, interactions with non-mahram, shopping habits etc has changed so much since trying to perfect my hijab. Hijab is so much more than a cloth on our head and perfecting it is an art in itself. SubhanAllah my friends around me now compliment me on my hijab and even look to me for inspiration. It feels great! It is all by the grace of our creator, our All Mighty Allah. Also, I promise, I became even more beautiful after covering up more and practicing hijab and even wearing niqab. I am not even kidding, I don’t know how it’s possible 😂😂😂. Definitely it is a gift from Allah. I am not saying I am super beautiful or anything but alhumdulillah the people who can see me without my cover now always tell me about this glow I have now and how my looks improved. It’s a miracle from Allah. Trust me sisters, just try it sometime, you will love it. You begin to really appreciate the gifts of beauty Allah has given us women and how honoured we are to keep it guarded for only those we can trust and who deserve to see it. A) Noman Ali Khan does not talk about fiqh/sects. ever even once in his lectures B) He does not say stuff like “selling for a lower price” C) he is straight forward but not outright insulting and mean to Us who ever the other scholar is, with due respect sir, you need to be firm in your stance but still humble and polite...

Its so offensive that you drew a black person the one time you do use a black person with dreads to imply bad dressing and if you portrayed the imagine on cleanliness as non black when you could have made it the same color and person. We all have biasses and its important not to associate a skin color or hair texture as unclean, this is our culture and dress and hair and that is how Allah made us so please include more black people in your drawings without the bad association and if you cant draw black people without a negative light than please go bad to drawing non black people like you always have.

To be honest , i don’t call myself hijabi , i would say I’m covering some hair , i know what i’m doing and inshaallah allah will guide me and i’ll change ...

I’m a Muslim and have not always been a good one, may allah forgive me of my sins, but have now decided that I will wear the hijab. I started wearing the hijab about a month ago and I style it in different ways. Most of the time a little bit of my hair shows because the material of the hijab is very slippery and sometimes I wear it as a turban because of the summer heat. I don’t wear tight fitting clothing but I wear loose fitting pants and a sweatshirt on most days (even when it’s hot). The women in my family however refuse to say that I am a hijabi because the believe that what I wear is not a “true hijab”. I have the best intentions and I always do my best to hide my figure but it seems to me that my own family is judging me based on the style of the scarf itself. What do I do and what do you think? Is what I am wearing a “true hijab”?

Sisters, please remember the reason we wear the hijab, it is to please Allah(swt) our lord who wants the best for us and wants to protect us. 💖 The hijab is supposed to divert attention from the beauty, not to bring attention to it, so try to avoid excessively decorating it. We need to wear the hijab properly for this act of worship to be accepted for us (just like how you would pray 4rakat asr and not 2). I am 14...I want to wear the hijab but every time i get close to making the decison i get so scared and back out. I dont even know what I'm scared of but it feels as if theres a barrier in front of me that i just cant break. I know it is obligatory so I feel terrible about it.
