Not trying to be a dick, but what the fuck is the point of welding an lsd? It just seems a little counter intuitive to me because an lsd is supposed to be better than a welded or open diff, sorry if my comment is a little abrasive but I genuinely want to know why

Yeah, why ruin something that works well. Why not just buy another fucking open diff and weld that

Well I touched on it a little bit but I guess not enough. Again this is my buddies diff. In drifting a lot of people would rather have a welded than an lsd because of the lock and unlock on decel. I don’t know everything about that but that’s most of my understanding.

@@isaacgdrifts what we’re trying to say is why waste a more expensive diff when u could just go buy a junkyard open diff that’ll work the exact same way but cheaper

That diff is now ruined can’t be used as an lsd again plus a 2.5 or 3 way diff would probably work just the same as welded but without the chatter in corners

@@rokuplayz464 yah I understand what you’re saying. For one thing the gearing ratio is one he likes and wanted to keep. Another thing is he doesn’t really daily drive it it’s mostly a track only car. Like I said I understand what you’re saying. I just weld what people ask me to weld for them😂
