Good video, Russell, again debunking the myth still being spread by many online pros that you can hold on to lag in order to get more "forward shaft lean" and even keep the hands ahead of the club in the follow through. There is even a video of the great Lee Trevino demonstrating this twaddle. He took a half swing with a wedge, hit the ball and a huge divot, then held his follow through with hands ahead of the club as he "held the club face square". Keep up the good work.

Thank you Russel, that is exactly what we need to know! It comes from straightening the arm. Timing is still difficult though. I noticed in your setup that you do not create the tilt by moving the hip slightly to the front and then have the trail arm grip the club, is that on purpose or do you not believe that that is the proper way of creating the tilt?

When I practice these kinds of "rotational" drills (which I find helpful), I tend to lose the lateral move and I have to constantly remind myself not to lose the lateral motion. Is this very common?

Is this the same concept with irons? Set spine angle (less tilt than driver) at setup and then rotate back and through on the same angle? Where does weight shift come into it? Is this a by product of above or should there be a concious bump of everything towards target before unwinding?

At the end of your video when showing the full swing with the arm action & body turn, I noticed your head not turned back with your shoulder turn. Wouldn’t your neck be strained by keeping your head not turning a little?

The wrist is what the longest hitters use to create their speed. Bad advice. You are releasing the clubhead using your wrists. Maybe watch your slow motion replay.
