Symptoms: solenoids have failed and you're not getting any water, or the body is cracked and there is water leaking on the floor.
Tools: towel, pliers, 1/4" nut driver, small flathead screwdriver, Torx-20 screwdriver.
This Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Maytag made Washer Water Inlet Valve replaces the following older part numbers on Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, Sears, and Kenmore Washers: 8540043, 8540751.

Great video, our Maytag fr load 300 washer started getting water in the drum & changing inlet valve should cure the problem. Good Job!

Just bought a Samsung washer and Home Depot but they would not install an 8 ft hose so I had to go out and buy and install it and Home Depot installers tighten the water hose so tight I could hardly get it off and it broke now home depot wants to blame me for the repairs. The repair company couldn't figure out how i broke -- I can -- On too tight and cheap plastic.
