If you can’t whistle it is most likely due to undeveloped lip muscles! Just think of the first day or two of trying to whistle as strengthening exercise for your lip muscles! This was my problem at first (lips would shake with effort of keeping the O-shape). Practiced/tried for about 6 hours per day for two days until I finally produced an actual whistle. It is EASY to improve from there.

It works better for me when my tongue is in the center of my mouth. I also have to put my lips in a certain place to make a sound. I could only whistle when I sucked air in but now I can whistle by blowing air out, thank you

Thanks for this! I'm already making progress! One tip I have is to change the shape of your mouth and position of your tongue and start hitting some notes and see how the sound changes as you change your mouth shape. Don't get fixed on the idea that your tongue has to stay in that one place, it will have to move around to be able to make different notes and to cut the note off at the end before you make the next note.

Hey guys qucik tip, if you are having issues whistling while blowing outwards but can do inwards. This is not due to your lips its all about where your tounge is.

One thing that finally let me do it was to make sure your top lip is ever so slightly further out than you bottom lip when making the “two” shape. It won’t work the other way around

this is how to whistle! first push ur bottom teeth then say the word to and then pit ur tung and lip at the position it is then blow lightly if it doesn't make a tune try to blow a bit hard then if you have the tune practise more and you'll whistle like me! (note if that does not work try another method) like inhaling the air or using tour fingers!
