I played league for a decade. Best advice I can give is quit. Nothing to do with your rank, league is unbelievably toxic no matter the elo. It attacks the worst kind of people and at the end of the day your only reward is a shiny icon. It simply isn't worth it.

It can be worth it, it just depends what you get out of it and you're right in that knowing when to quit is pretty important if you don't wanna waste your time. But having said that, some of my best gaming memories were from league, despite the toxicity. I tell you what it may not be impressing any of the ladies, but the day I broke out of bronze and into silver for the first time... damn that was such an awesome feeling - and thats coming from someone who finished 2 seasons ranked diamond in starcraft 2. Hell I'm still proud of that when I look back on it now, and those kinds of experiences aren't something you can get from just any game.
