Check a sign shop, odds are they got a lot of scraps they would sell for cheap or just give you.

How do you glue it to wood, itself, etc? That is what I came to see.

You can cut it with a scoring knife or utility knife as well.

@@MakeItWithCalvin Sure you can, if you want. I prefer less dust and noise each to it´s own, but now you know there is more ways of cutting it =)

Thanks Calvin, would you mind posting a link or doing your own vid on the actual structure of these sheets and the options available and perhaps compare to fiberglass and epoxy carbon circuit board sheets? I am building a 32 inch macbook pro laptop! And, I need to know what my options are for the shell (box) that surrounds it (gives it structure and light weight rigidity.

Hi Randall, sadly the actual project this was intended for never panned out... I would say for your application I would almost lean to the fiberglass for rigidity, but that stuff is absolutely nasty to cut and if you wanted to attempt any bends, that is out of the question. If you are able to get your hands on some of this, it may be worth exploring.

Does anyone know the off gassing or toxicity of these plastic cores when subject to higher temps?

Some laminate cores are PE, but Alumalite is PP, so it depends... Look up those materials. Also depends on the temperature! The materials tend to not be useful in higher temperature applications because of the plastic core and its low softening temperature. They do however use it for building cladding.

That specific brand I do not know but based off what I read that type of material was in use.

@@MrRo22Ro22 it is a fact that fire tends to go up, if the cladding is flammable it will burn more easily, and soon later, the fire may engulf the whole structure. Fire-resistant materials should be used for allowing the residents to evacuate, imo.
