How to Wrap Your Horse's Legs (Standing Wraps)

Today I'm showing y'all how to safely put on and take off standing wraps AKA stable bandages. I’ll go over the different parts of wraps, and how to wrap legs in a way that is safe for you and your horse. There’s no secret to learning how to wrap legs: you just need to do a few hundred of them and you are good to go. Make sure you have people to check your wraps when you are first starting out! I need to use these on my showjumper during competitions to prevent swelling so he can show 4/5 days in a row. Do I need to put them on right after exercise or can I wait until the evening so he has them on overnight? I don't know if he should have them on right after and then overnight as it might be too long, but I also want to make sure I don't put them on too late that his legs swell. Thanks!

Hi Pam! If your velcro is coming out on the wring side, that means you likely rolling up the overwrap the wrong way before you put it on. I have another video about rolling wraps hopefully coming out soon that might help, but until then, make sure when you roll up your overwrap that you put the velcro together, and keep rolling it up in the same direction until you reach the end. I hope that helps!
