It’s written to imitate the style they had when they were young… I doubt many bands are walking into the studio to record new work and saying “how can we make this sound EXACTLY the same as we did before?”

Y'know, when a band changes their sound, people get mad that they're different from what they used to be, but if the band didn't change their sound, people would still complain because their music "sounds all the same". It's just not possible to get it right for everyone. A band should be allowed to deviate from their typical style and experiment with new tones. Not everything will resonate with everyone, but without change, there's also no innovation.

Victor is killing it. Something is off with the chorus, though. It just starts from nowhere, there's no buildup, not much is changing from the verse, so it sounds like another verse or a bridge. But hey, it's very BFMV.
