Great job and I also love the story you chose as an example. Do you the tension in’Go dog go’ is the sub story about the hat or just what will those dogs do?

That's a great question! I would say Go! Dogs, Go! is more of a mixture between a Story PB and a Predictible PB, since there is less emphasis on a story and more on creating predictable sentences that help the child repeat the story out loud, but there is also that tension between the two dogs and the hat. Everything is possible, but I doubt anybody would go out and buy three picture books at once in order to arrive at the conclusion of the story. If you only buy the first installment, and it ends in a cliff hanger, or worse, a low point of the story, you're setting your audience up for tears. How likely would it be in that case that the parents or aunts or grampas run out and buy part two and three?

@@seanchen9265 That's great, Sean! How exciting! Here is a resource that goes over formatting, although keep in mind it is a bit dated. Most agents now will ask that you paste the manuscript into the body of the email, not as an attachment. Good character arc explanation. The feminist messaging to kids is tiresome; The strong female lead, the patriarchy of wankers. How about a story where the male rescues the female from a life as cubicle slave surrounded by predators for a boss who pats her rump she tolerates because of her student loans. He marries her, pays off her debt and she embraces her role as wife and mother. Nah, that would be too traditional, sexist, etc. instead it’s heathers too mommies, etc. anyway, good content, thanks for making this
