One of my main concerns going into school psychology is report writing. I am not a fan of writing , but these temples ease my anxiety 😅

Hey Tiffany, I recently found your channel while doing a school project. It’s truly awesome what you’re doing. I recently started my school psych program and I am so nervous. Is there any tips you can give me to cope with anxiety of starting a school psych program?

congrats on starting your program! imposter syndrome can definitely mess with your confidence and self-worth. remind yourself often that you're there for a reason and that you're doing a great job! i found it helpful to befriend some classmates for studying, hanging out, and sanity. take your classes and assignments a step at a time and before you know it, you'll be done with your first semester :) reach out on IG if you have any questions.

What happens if the only programs in your city are not on the nasp approved list?

You can still practice if you program meets licensing requirements. You may need additional classes or hours, depending on your program. I would do some extra research and make sure you’ll be able to practice in your state after completing the coursework and internship.

Hello! School Psyc Student here! Silly question, but is using the templates a form of plagiarism? I’m always super nervous about using templates because it’s technically not my original work or does that not apply when you’re in the actual field and not a classroom environment.

Hey! That's not a silly question at all. Tbh I only know very few psychs who write every report from scratch, and even they have sections that they either copy and paste or use as a shell. I think the key to using a template is to make it your own. Make sure it reflects your population, district, and verbiage. For tools like click report, I would personally use the narrative as a sample or guideline and not use it verbatim, especially because I wouldn't want all of my reports to look exactly the same. I've reviewed so many of my supervisors' reports and taken bits and pieces if I liked how they described a certain subtest, etc. A lot of it also comes straight from the test manufacturer. I believe it's fine as long as you make it your own template!
