Many film scripts are about groups of people - a family, a gang, a club, a collection of old friends, a platoon of soldiers, a crowd of prisoners, a small town community, performers putting on a show - and many more. They have multiple protagonists, not just a single hero, Hollywood style. These films can be excellent, but they are hard to construct and the Hollywood one-hero model doesn't explain them.
